Many edits I receive are a copy/paste of info on Ancestry. Sometimes the info is incorrect, even if a dozen trees have the same info it doesn't make it any truer. Just because a Drouin record says 'Mary Merry of Bobtown' it doesn't always mean that the birth, marriage or death happened in Bobtown.

A memorial is complete with the information that is on the headstone.

Some information belongs on an Ancestry family tree, not on a memorial. If there is no date of birth on the stone, it is not necessary to calculate one so that memorials will list in the correct order. I know that many Find A Grave users will not agree.

So if it's not on the headstone, take any information on my memorials with a kilo of salt.

Smith I have many Smith names in my family tree. Often I type S-m-t-i-h and on one hand I'm glad to see that I'm not the only one, but on the other hand Smith can be a difficult name for genealogy research, so I often check Find A Grave for Smtih.

Thank you once again. This newest one is the best of the bunch. If you don't mind leaving all three thnk that'd be fine. That speckled stone is not easy to see. Kind regards,Lesley

Thank you for your note regarding the incorrect cemetery for Thomas and his wife. I have made the correction locating the correct cemetery in Ontario. I am not sure how I got the incorrect information, as I did have the correct headstone which was connected to the correct cemetery as you had advised me. I think it must have been a late evening when I was working on this. Yes, that is my excuse, haha. Anyhow, thanks for being alert and advising me. It is now correct!!

RE: Photo request fulfilled
Hello, I have a father, brother, and mother buried in Ste. Rose de Lima. They are all on one headstone, my brother died young and is buried behind my mother and father. From what I remember they are buried in the back on the right side, it is a black headstone, with Irma Griggs/William Griggs on the front on my brother is behind them. Larry Griggs. I have uncles and aunts buried just the left, they are Griggs' also. I wish I could give you more information but I haven't been back there in about 20 years. I will see if I can get you something more specific. You are doing such an amazing thing, simple photos mean so much to so many of us. Thank you

Your comments and photos are greatly appreciated. I have added 20+ requests for your photo of headstone 1925 Greek Ladies Benevolent Society at G 1090. https://s3-us-west-2.amazonaws.com/find-a-grave-prod/photos/2014/225/113385449_1408050420.jpg The cemetery records have more buried there than are engraved on the stone.

Thank you again

Re: Snowdon
It looks like a bunch of (unconnected) Snowdons are on that gravestone:

#108202297
#108542877
#108202296
#108202305
#108202293

There may be more names on the other side. I'll try to link the ones mentioned here.

Thanks again,
Sheila

RE: Alexander Grant Snowdon #108542877
haha. So, I changed it back to Alexander Grant (Snowdon?), son of Archibald Grant (Snowdon?) and Margaret Elizabeth McGregor?

I guess the photo is confusing me!! haha. I will link up the family when we settle this! haha

And originally I was looking for an Alexander Grant who married, so this can't be him.

Thanks again!
Sheila

Alexander Grant Snowdon #108542877
Thank you so much for this info. I see that I don't have the correct Alexander Grant! I've corrected the Memorial... and I'll work more on connecting the family. Thanks again for all your help.

All the best,
Sheila
