THIS IS A CEMETERY
Lives are commemorated - deaths are recorded - families are reunited - memories are made tangible - and life is undisguised. This is a cemetery.
Communities accord respect, families bestow reverence, historians seek information and our heritage is thereby enriched.
Testimonies of devotions, pride and remembrance are carved in stone to pay warm tribute to accomplishments and to the life - not death - of a loved one. The cemetery is homeland for family memorials that are a sustaining source of comfort to the living.
A cemetery is a history of people - a personal record of yesterday and a sanctuary of peace and quiet today. A cemetery exists because every life is worth loving and remembering - ALWAYS.

Thank you for the corrections. I located his death certificate and linked him to his parents. He was born in Tioga county not Franklin county though.

You're welcome. It was a challenge to find but finally did. New management has taken over the cemetery and they cut the grass better. The other man retired and his grand son, who has more energy lol, took it over.

I searched the entire cemetery and did not find a marked grave for Laura. :( As I said before, there are a lot of unmarked graves and graves with stones or stakes.
You're welcome. Someone had taken a photo already while not fulfilling your request, but between you and me, I think mine is better. Is Lloyd still alive or should a memorial be created for him?

You are very welcome. I had almost given up hope of finding it but on my way back to the car I found it. Guess it was meant to be.

I don't see her listed on the formal burial records, but my copy is probably 30 years old. I go to this cemetery often, so will search for her grave next week. Little Vine has MANY unmarked graves. I hope hers is not one of them.
You are very welcome. I love helping people with their loved ones memorials.
