Bio and Links
Bio Photo Born in Montana in the mid 1940s, I was raised in Duluth, Minnesota, and live in Saint Paul, Minnesota. See the link to the Rhode Family Tree below. It has additional information on most of my memorials on Find A Grave.

As Voltaire said, "the perfect is the enemy of the good." I believe it is better to post the information one has now, rather than wait for perfection. If you have corrections to the memorials I have posted, please let me know.

"We still remember, we who dwell
In this far land beneath the trees."

Thanks so much for taking the photo of Anton Bauer. Very nice that you took the extra effort to show the area around the stone and the close up of the stone it self.

Herbert Hamlin dupe.
Hi Richard. Thanks for letting me know. It is easy to see how that happened, as one says T.H. Hamlin and the other says Herbert Thomas Hamlin. The de-duper doesn't catch that. The dupe was part of a 25,000 memorial upload by Chris Mills back in 2011. He was able to manipulate a certain portion of the old (now defunct) online database directly from IPC's website. They were passed to me to handle, as his management grew to over 400,000 memorials and under the "old" edit system, it was very difficult to maintain. I offered to take Inglewood since I stay nearby and have family buried there.

I will have to transfer the dupe back to Chris for him to delete. We cannot delete memorials that were transferred to us, as you might know. This may take a few days or more, as I don't know how busy he is at the moment, so your patience is appreciated.

I thought it quite a coincidence that I was the one who took the grave photos on the original! I wonder how often that happens...

Best regards,

Not sure if you're related but I see you posted a photo of her on her memorial page (32182010). In case you haven't seen this, I ran across an article about her death. Minneapolis Morning Tribune, 9/29/1911, page 9, 3rd column top of page

He is not buried in the Eloise Cemetery. The cemetery closed for burials in 1948.

Hi - I finally had a chance (before the snow storm came through!) to re-take the photo - as noted in the previous message left a few weeks ago. I am sure you will agree the new set has much less glare on the gravestones.

Most often, I have seen that the typical protocol is to ask to use a volunteer's photo that was posted to a memorial page. I know, I always ask just, as a courtesy, before I take a photo and use it in my family tree on ancestry. I was surprised to see the photos I took at the cemetery posted w/out the courtesy of asking first - as that's what is typically done. I just like knowing that people use my photos.

Please let me know if you found these pictures to be of better quality and w/ less glare. I took time after work and made it before the blizzard! *smile* Looks like the photo days are over with here for a while!

Edit Processed
Hi - Your edit to link Charles' spouse was processed a few minutes ago. I noticed the photo I took has a sun glare along the top - I was out at that cemetery in the morning w/ the sun facing directly on the gravestones. I will gladly re-take the photo so that you can have a better quality photo to replace the one you on the ancestry website. Hopefully, I'll be able to pass by there soon before the snow and will keep you posted!
