The vast majority of pages I've added to Find-a-Grave are for strangers. I'm always happy to transfer pages to people who know something about these strangers. If you would like for me to transfer a page to you, please let me know (preferably by clicking on "edit" and then "suggest correction" since that will provide both a link to the page and a link to your contributor page with the necessary ID# for the transfer).|
I live in Jackson (Hinds County), Mississippi, and love "graving," whether here in central Mississippi or in other places when I'm traveling. If you find errors in my listings, please send me corrections.
A note about photo requests: If you make a request for Lakewood Memorial Park or Lakewood South, please include the section and plot number.

I thought maybe you could just add it as an informative "note" on the memorial

After doing some checking it appears that Trail's End and At the End of the Trail Cemetery are one and the same. I found no listing for Trails End Cemetery anywhere, only At the End of the Trail, which is what the photo shows for the other Lewis Rhodes memorial. The earlier listing does not show the stones as you have, but they are the same people as both Lewis and Joyce are both there. Not sure if perhaps they altered the name of the cemetery or if it was just known in general by Trail's End but the sign in the photos shows At the End of the Trail. Any other clues to a possible name change?
Thanks Natalie for the cemetery picture for my sister-in law-Mary Alice Satterwhite Dent. My niece asked me to transfer this memorial to her (daughter of Mary) and I agreed. There is a mistake somehow and it has been transferred to someone I don't know.---Brian somebody. I am crushed that when I put in my niece's name to transfer to her it has now gone to this Brian person. Is there any way to make a correction?

This memorial was previously added in 2007.

Thank you so much for the 2 transfers.
I deeply appreciate all you have done on FindAGrave.
|Joseph Fox||RE: Thomas Lard # 17696882|
Thanks for the transfer...he was my grandfather's grandfather. I have changed the name back to Lard and attempted to explain the confusion in the Bio. I have heard several accounts of why the change was made but have no idea which is correct.
|Joseph Fox||Thomas Lard # 17696882|
When a man was born, lived and died as a Lard, as Thomas Lard was, it does him no honor to change the spelling of his name because some of his children did. Thomas Lard was the son of Jesse and Mary Edwards Lard. His grandfather was Josiah Lard, in censuses and land records. There is a letter from his brother, Victor Lard, dated July 25, 1880, that addresses him as Thomas Lard:

Thank you so much for transferring Jacob & Susan Oates's memorials to me. I really appreciated your time and effort in posting the memorial originally. I have deleted my duplicate memorials.
|Deby Beran||Farris Hill Cemetery|
This cemetery has so few graves and only 1% photographed. I found 3 with the last name of Kersh , but all the my other family is in other cemeteries. Maybe I am making a poor assumption, but is this perhaps a cemetery for black families? I know you are active in the area & took the cemetery photo, just hoping you would know.
Thanks, Deby Kersh Beran
Ps - I put in photo requests for the 3.
|Charles Dawkins||Beth Eden Lutheren cemertary|
eithere read or was told that the Beth Eden cemetery in Winston had a monument with the name E. T. Dawkins but no dates. Do you know anything about that or can you put me in touch with someone that would know.
Charles H. Dawkins
