I came across this website and decided it was a nice way to honor forever those loved ones who have crossed my path of life at some time whether family, friends, co-workers or their families. I have also included quite a bit of information on my family (Rake/Raike & McCane) as it becomes available for genealogy purposes.
If by adding any of your loved ones I have overstepped my bounds or upset you that is not my intent. If you do not like what I have done please let me know and I can delete the information.
Please use the edit button for sending any requests for corrections or transfer.
If you have other loved ones you would like for me to add just send me their information and I will be happy to do so for you.
This comment below isn't mine but I saw how true it was within a short time of being on Find A Grave. I copied this to share from another member's site:
I think it is really a shame what findagrave has evolved into. What started as a noble way to link people with graves of loved ones they could never hope to see, and with the generations that had preceded them, has turned into a game for some.
Memorials have turned into a kind of "trading card", a competition of who can own the most memorials and post the highest numbers. What has been forgotten by many is that these are people, loved in life and death, not a commodity to be traded or owned.
My apologies to those that have pure motives. I hope there are more of us than there are of them.
You may use any of my photos for your own personal use or for posting to your tree on Ancestry.com without my expressed consent. You are not permitted to use my photos for commercial usage. If you do use my photos, I appreciate a note crediting me with the photo if you can. If not, no big deal. The whole purpose of posting photos is to breathe life back to the deceased.

Greg, if you would please transfer Linda's memorial to me. I would appreciate it. I didn't know she had passed away until I read it. I did know she was in bad health though. She will rest with Danny and Jerry in Heaven now. Thank you in advance!
May I ask you who your Mom and Dad are? Your name is really familiar. Thanks again!

There are apparently two cemeteries listed in Rush County. Are these two separate cemeteries or the same one? Maybe findagrave can combine them if they're the same?
Thank you so very much in being so prompt to list individuals. I was just now sitting down getting ready to add this to the growing list of family members. Thank you for your caring actions.

Hi Greg: Ethel is buried with her husband at Orange North Cemetery (#20378429 & #26917024, respectively). The unknown burial #60950444 should be deleted. Thanks.
Just saw the pictures and information on my families pages. Thank you so much!

Would you know where her mother is buried.

|Marlena Linne||"Numbers" People|
Hi Greg. I totally agree with you regarding what I call the "numbers" people. They have abused what was a good idea at the time. Most of them are entering mass quantities of junk memorials and are concerned only with how many memorials they create. A good many of the memorials have very limited information and none of the individuals are linked to their loved ones. One woman has worked from a list she acquired for Washington Park East Cemetery in Indianapolis. I do genealogical research in the area and have found that about half of her memorials are duplicates. Judging from the few pictures she has taken, she must live in Colorado. But I'm pretty sure she doesn't even live in Indianapolis, let alone Indiana, and has never even stepped foot in Washington Park. I think this is very disrespectful to those people for whom she has created memorials. These people usually have a very long list of restrictions on their bios and are not usually pleasant to deal with. There are some people who feel they have to abuse the system (for lack of a better term) and this woman appears to be one of them. It's really too bad.
