Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hello everyone.

I came across this website and decided it was a nice way to honor forever those loved ones who have crossed my path of life at some time whether family, friends, co-workers or their families. I have also included quite a bit of information on my family (Rake/Raike & McCane) as it becomes available for genealogy purposes.

If by adding any of your loved ones I have overstepped my bounds or upset you that is not my intent. If you do not like what I have done please let me know and I can delete the information.

Please use the edit button for sending any requests for corrections or transfer.

If you have other loved ones you would like for me to add just send me their information and I will be happy to do so for you.

Take care....

Greg

The comment below isn't mine but I saw how true it was within a short time of being on Find A Grave. I copied this to share from another member's site:

I think it is really a shame what findagrave has evolved into. What started as a noble way to link people with graves of loved ones they could never hope to see, and with the generations that had preceded them, has turned into a game for some.

Memorials have turned into a kind of "trading card", a competition of who can own the most memorials and post the highest numbers. What has been forgotten by many is that these are people, loved in life and death, not a commodity to be traded or owned.

My apologies to those that have pure motives. I hope there are more of us than there are of them.

You may use any of my photos for your own personal use or for posting to your tree on Ancestry.com without my expressed consent. You are not permitted to use my photos for commercial usage. If you do use my photos, I appreciate a note crediting me with the photo if you can. If not, no big deal. The whole purpose of posting photos is to breathe life back to the deceased.

You have duplicates of these two. The originals are 3286634 and 31444556. I already linked the husband and father to both.

Are you related to the Edward Fisher who died in 1923, buried in Milroy Cemetery? I am a distant cousin. Do you know of a sister he may have had named Emma?

Please move this memorial for Oscar Rushton to Anderson Memorial Park in Indiana. I tried to leave an edit to this effect, but keep running into error message!

I have added his death certificate to your record for proof of his burial in Anderson as well.

Please MOVE the record so all of the materials and connections go along. Don't just delete the record and start anew.

In the meanwhile, I'll add Virgie's to Anderson Memorial Park and get the plot locations there. She and I await your help.

Thanks for all you do and for helping him get "home".

A message..
Hi Greg! I sent you a message thru a memorial. I hope it doesn't make you mad. It has been awhle since I have been in contact with you. You transferred Danny Ervine's or maybe Jerry's I think it was to me. Thank you for the work you do. I have to agree some are out there for the numbers and I have ran across some too. Family is family in my book...evidently they don't think so and want the numbers. Oh well, I won't and don't play their games. Take care! Have a great week end!
