Born and raised in Dallas, Texas. Lived most of my life there. Then relocated, first to Decatur, IL and then to Hillsboro, IL. |
Have been involved in genealogy for many years. I guess I was following in my grandfather's footsteps. Now that I am retired it has become my passion.

|Dolores J. Rush||Velma A. Whitehead Matchett McDaniel|
Velma married a Dr. George H. Matchett and divorced him before she married DeWitt McDaniel(1852-1930). They had two children: Mollie (1875-1876)and Tilden (b.c. 1877). DeWitt was the brother of Willam M. White's wife, Hatty and to this union three male children were born. I got all this information from my grandmother's book, White's Family & Their Kin. By Mrs. Gladys Esther White O'Neal & Elma Leota White Stoops which was published in 1983.

You are very welcome. Beautiful stones. I found one more Ginos which I will post soon. Best Wishes, Connie and Wayne
|John Grimm||Leon Nathaniel Green|
You list DOB for Leon Nathaniel Green as 11 Nov 1902 whereas tombstone indicates DOB as 16 Nov 1902.
Which one is correct?
|Leon||John Jerrerson McKnight|
There is no headstone marker for John Jefferson McKnight. They gray outlines on the photo I submitted show the two possible locations where he is buried. (Where the headstone would be.) Because of the distance to the location markers in the ground, I could not accurately determine in which of these 2 locations he was buried. The headstone to the left (Jesse M. Beggs), is to help anyone in finding the location. John McKnight's location is: 33-106-6 Leon

|Cyndi Berg Jearman||San Jose cemetery in Mission photos|
Good afternoon. I went to San Jose cemetery in Mission, TX in hopes of finding stones for your memorial for Camilo Gonzalez. Unfortunately, the cemetary has no markers for sections or plots. I called City of Mission and they said I could meet someone to help find the grave. This poor cemetary is not in good condition. I feel badly that this cemetary is so unkempt. I can say there is no trash or bottles laying around, but it is full if broken stones, fences around graves, weeds, long grass, stones falling over. Very crowded for such a small area. I hope I will be able to help get some general information for this cemetary and maybe put it on cemetary notes for this area, and find your request as well.
