I am a retired programmer, interested in Genealogy, Computers and Traveling. I live in the Detroit Area and will be more than happy to visit any cemetery and take a picture of a grave of interest. Any of the pictures or other information that I have posted to findagrave.com can be used by anyone for whatever volunteer purpose they would like. You may not use the pictures if they will be used for a make for profit purpose. Other than family members any memorials will be transferred to you if requested. I would prefer transferring the memorial to you than to add or make changes to the memorial. Also please give me a little time to transfer the memorials. Thanks |

|JP||Request to Transfer Memorial #17049100|
Hello Mr. Vander-Schrier,
Emily Francelia(Mather)Dowd-Goodell was my 2nd Great Grand Aunt. I would like to request a transfer, so I may add suggestions to Her Memorial #17049100, which you originally created Dec 16th, 2006.
March 8th, 2012, I created a Memorial #86455143 for Emily in error. My Contributor ID is #47253461. I also sent a message to your Comcast email on the 15th of June. Thank You! JP

|Mary Ellen Hermann||I think there was a mistake made.|
My name is Mary Ellen Hermann. I have been researching the Stephens family tree for several years. I believe a mistake has been made for your entry of David P. Stephens, Find A Grave Memorial #16585490. You have him being born 1848, death in 1868 and the spouse of Mary Vandenburg.
The David Stephens who died in 1868 husband of Mary Vandenburg was David F. Stephens, (the F for Fellows - his mother's maiden name). He was born October 22, 1819 in New York, the son of Elisha Stephens and Louisa Fellows. His birth is recorded in a Stephens' Family Bible.
Elisha Stephens was born October 21, 1787 and died November 17, 1837. He is buried in Curtis Cemetery in Shelby Township, Michigan with daughter Mary (half sister to David F). Elisha's Find A Grave Memorial # 7497760.
David's mother was Louisa Fellows Stephens born April 11, 1794 - May 1831) She is buried in Rochester Junction Cemetery (AKA Graves Cemetery) in Mendon, Mendon, New York. Her Find A Grave Memorial # 121374835.
David F. Stephens and Mary Vandenburg were married March 2, 1847 and moved to a farm one mile north and one mile west of Yale in Brockway Township,Michigan, at the time a dense wilderness. 5 sons and 5 daughters were born there: David F. Jr., Omar, Franklin, Orlando, Hiram, Mary, Deesta, Celia, Ardella, and Racenia. Racenia was under a year old when David died.
If you want to transfer the memorial to me, that would be fine. Mary Ellen Hermann I am a Find A Grave Contributor. Otherwise, I would like to hear any comments you may have regarding this information. Your profile said that your were interested in genealogy. It has been very interesting researching the Stephens and Fellows families - they are full of drama and squabbles and court cases getting children back, etc. etc. When David died, son David F. Jr. was appointed executor of the estate, but Mary went to court and got him removed and herself appointed. The estate dragged on for years. (David F. Jr. died by being hit by lightning in 1882.) If you are interested :-) and have an Ancestry tree, my tree is the Hermann Family Tree - owner Merrie02.
Sincerely, Mary Ellen Hermann

RE: Beverly Sharon Schultz
There seem to be two entries for this person. Yours is the most complete with both of her parents. I don't know why there is another.

Hello. If you are not related to Joseph Tupper/Emerson, I would be happy to accept a transfer since he is part of my Emerson/Tupper/Emerson ancestry. I DID request an edit to add his second wife. You can ignore that if you choose to transfer the memorial. Thank you for your kind consideration.

Thanks. Found Samuel. I was told he is in Evergreen Cemetery, but when I added him in findagrave, it only gave me the option for Evergreen Cemetery (Shabbona). Is that right?
