RE: Esther Ekin
I simply can not thank you enough for this!!! By finding this information for me, you've answered the question of where, but OH! The list of WHY just blew up in my face! It's crazy. Esther's daughter, Helen, was fascinating, and I am writing a book about her. I've been distracted by a side project, but if you're interested in a little historical drama, you're welcome to pop on over to and see what Esther's daughter was up to. Once I finish up this piece, I think Esther might be on my agenda. I think Ohio just bumped up to the top of my to do list! THANK YOU!!!

RE: Esther Ekin
Thank you! I really do appreciate it. William Lee Ekin was her grandson. Her son, William Lee should be there too. It's all so strange. I can't imagine where else she would be. Every lead comes up empty. Her daughter, Frances Ekin Allison is the link to the Allison family. I REALLY do appreciate your help!!!

RE: Esther Ekin
Thank you so much!!! William Lee, who is in the Allison plot, was Esther's son. He is in the Allison plot because one of Esther's daughters, Frances, was married to Matthew Allison, so Esther was an in-law of the Allison family. Thank you SO much for looking for her. Despite a rather detailed obituary from the Xenia newspaper, I have been able to verify almost NOTHING about her, and I have no idea where else to look for her. I can't find a grave or any photographs of her or anything about her. It is incredibly frustrating! If you happen to see her in that cemetery, please snap a pic! The obituary says that she is next to William Lee Ekin who died shortly before she died in January of 1883. I can't imagine anyone would have moved her, so I can only assume there is no headstone? Could that be possible? The cemetery hasn't returned calls.
