Thank you for doing the work you do.

A friend and I believe we may be cousins through Elisabeth Getzendanner. Whom we believe to be Elisabeth (Moyer) Getzendanner, could be Barbara Moyer's sister. Barbara Moyer would be my 4 times great grandmother.

However, we believe the Elisabeth we are seeking was born in the mid 1760's and we hardly believe she would live 100+ years.

Elisabeth was married to Jacob Isaac Getzendanner, Jr. in 1784. They married and lived in Frederick County, Maryland until Jacob Isaac's death in 1833. At that time we believed Elisabeth moved west with her daughter, Christina and son-in-law, Jacob Willard. They would live in Montgomery County, Ohio through the 1870 census, however, Jacob Willard died in 1878 and was living in Washington County, Maryland.

After all this history, I have a fairly simple question, was the date on Getzendanner's stone clearly legible or could that date have been 1833, 1839?

Thank you for sharing these treasures you have found!
Mike
