My grandmother documented years of our family ancestors and if there is one thing I would love to do is to follow her footsteps. |
I got hooked on Find A Grave while searching for missing links and felt I would like to pay forward to those who helped me by helping others.
I am happy to transfer memorials to family members. If you see a memorial which I added please feel free to contact me.

I would like to thank you for posting the picture of my Great Great Grandfather. I had never seen this picture before.

Dear Sharon: Thank you so much for the great information! Unfortunately I don't have any dates yet. The funeral guest book that I am working on was not filled out. The only writing in the book at all are the approx 64 signatures of the "Friends who called" . I am trying to narrow down the date and possibly a family line by compiling a list of the birth, death and marriage dates and a possible connection of the "guests". That is why I was asking for the marriage date of Mr and Mrs Ezra Draper. It is definitely a puzzle! :) If you would like a copy of the signatures, I will gladly send it to you! :) Sheila

Thank you so much! At least now I now that the funeral took place after 1942! :) There are other Drapers on the list, Delbert Draper, Mr and Mrs Glen Draper & family and Ruth Jean Draper. I haven't had a chance to research or look into the other names yet. My Gr Grandmother was Lora "Weems" Payne Jones,on my mothers maternal side. However, I am starting to suspect that it may have been a relative of Jones on my mothers paternal side, Dora E Jones Halfacre. Thank you, again, for the information! :) Sheila Henne Maxey

Hello! Do you know the date that Ezra Draper was married? I have a funeral book that was found in my great grandmothers things with a signature from Mr and Mrs Ezra A Draper. There is no date nor a name of the deceased. It is a good thing I like puzzles! :) Any assistance you may be able to give me would be greatly appreciated! Sheila Henne Maxey email@example.com

Sorry that the photos were not the best, but that's what they look like. The sun was against me, and there is a lot of lichen on the stone making it difficult to to read, but that is what we could make out from the inscriptions...Hope that they were to your liking....

|BjJ||Mary Donges/Doenges Photo Request|
Hi - I have an obit for Mary that was published in the Illinois State Register that I can send you. Please e-mail me at my e-mail address so that I can give it to you. The listing that you requested a photo on is actually a duplicate and one that I will remove. The spelling of "Donges" was on the cemetery records but her obit has "Doenges". I then saw where someone else had added her with the correct spelling so I will eliminate mine. She very well may have a stone so I will check to see if I have a photo of it. If I do, I'll post it to the proper listing of Mary "Doenges". But let me know about sending you the obit as I would be happy to do that.

|Bill Plack||J. Sumny|
All I can tell you is he was from the Mingo area and carved sandstone tombstones from around 1824 to 1842. He signed them both J.Sumny and J.Sumney.

I Deleted duplicate record for her
