Born & raised in La Grande, OR. Funeral Director/Embalmer in OR since 1972, served on active duty in the U.S. Navy as a Navy Mortician from FEB 7, 1984 to JUL 31, 2006. My aunt got me started on geneology as a teenager and I have been following Find A Grave since 2002. So that they are not forgotten, I take a lot of photos of Veterans headstones. I only enter records of cemeteries that I have actually walked and photographed.|

|CL Hileman||Dr. Lewis Willis Minor|
I have posted a photo of the Confederate physician, Dr. Lewis Minor, to your Memorial #14328231. I thought you may find it of interest.
|Marie and Bruce Newell||Beallsville Cemetery|
We respectfully request permission to use the entrance photo in our personal tree. Bruce has a cousin interred there and the photo will make a great addition to our tree.
Thanks for your consideration.

For the last several years, I've been working closely with St. Paul's Catholic Church updating their cemetery by adding all memorials buried here. I wanted to let you know that as of June 2013, Bishop DiLorenzo decreed a name change for this cemetery. It has been changed to "All Saints Catholic Cemetery". Once the new sign is erected, I can take pictures, send them to you so you can post them. Also, there are ongoing projects of new landscaping and fencing going in. I would like to submit new pictures of that as well probably in the spring of 2014 -- unless you would like to take all the pictures. It's no problem.
According to Find a Grave's website, after October 1st I can submit a name change for this cemetery. I wanted to let you know of the name change so you didn't think your cemetery was deleted.

My first husband is the child of William Skinner and Judith Gorman. William is the son of Merle Skinner, which I thank you for giving a memorial. I was intrigued to see a Gorman handling the Skinner memorial, and I was wondering if you know more about my sons family?
|Dan O'Connell||George A Revell...|
I'm direct descendant of George A Revell, and would like to know what sources you have for the information on your memorial for him.
I've seen the name Emanuel for his father on his marriage record for Henrietta Joiner, his 2nd wife, married in 1885.
There's a bit of uncertainty here, because his father was listed as R. C. Revell in his marriage record for 1st wife (Martha Ann Hodges) (b.1840, m.1868, d.1881).
There also appears to be a duplicate FindAGrave memorial for George Arthur Revell: #37652032
That memorial has photos with a plaque titled "Our Family" which lists his father as Randall C Revell.
To make things even more muddy, that plaque was likely added at by George A Revell after his mother passed and he returned from service in the Civil War. His father's grave is purported to have been unmarked until this time.
Any information to clear up these discrepancies would be most appreciated.
Sorry, I don't live near there--but you can enter a Photo Request and someone who does live nearby should get you a picture.
|Michael Sipes||Obituary for Alfred Lee Fout Jr.|
I recently viewed my step-grandfather's obituary online. I appreciate you taking the time to add it. I had gone to findagrave.com because I was going to add it myself. I am a Army veteran who lives in West Virginia. I was wondering if my name could be added as grandson. I was the first born and oldest grandson of Alfred Fout. Even though he was not my biological grandfather, he was just as much a grandfather to me and I loved him just as much. He is dearly missed by me and many others.
Michael Dale Sipes Jr.
