 | RE: Richard Rowe May Hi Jennifer,
I think I wrote you twice - on your blog too?
I'm researching the Mechanic Fusileers for a story involving influential Chicagoans (Moody, Hemingway, Sherman, etc.) during the Civil War, & having a heck of a time finding info!
It is possible that Richard R is Richard Rowe. Just want to be sure.
Richard Rowe's birthdate keeps popping up December 1844 in places, though if it's actually January 1844, that makes a big difference re: his eligibility as a soldier. It also shows up as 1849 elsewhere. | | | Saratoga
 | RE: Mary Harvey # 83332684 I believe I got it from his son's death certificate stating that his mother's maiden name was Dexter and that she was born in Massachusetts. If I'm not mistaken the Harvey's were in Charleston a long time with a Samuel Harvey marrying one of David Hamilton's daughter's. I think he and his wife were buried at Trinity in downtown Charleston which does not exist today.
