WE are volunteer genealogists and preservationists who see this as modern historical and cultural research. we try to photograph the current status of monuments so that weather, erosion and vandalism will not steal away the precious information that is etched there.
WE are also available to translate Hebrew into English. just send us a message with a memorial # of your requested transcription.
IF you request a photo, you should consider the time, car, digital camera, internet access and effort required to find your request and courteously contact the cemetery for the location and burial society. Then provide that in the edit function of the plot of the memorial. free email and phone calling are available from all corners of our dear planet earth now that we live in the internet age.
NOTE: we are NOT responsible for contacting the cemetery or if the gravestone is missing, sunken, toppled or overgrown. we can only search and notify you what we have found. gravestones can be raised, cleaned and shrubs trimmed by the cemetery staff. we are only volunteers who document the condition. do not ask volunteers to do the cemetery's work. it is not allowed by the cemetery nor by findagrave.
WE will not take responsibility for changes made to a memorial by the edit system. Be prepared to support your edit. You can send an actual LINK to the info through a message , or the info can be uploaded at the memorial via a grave pic, obit, uploaded documents, etc or other info. Use the edit tab and then the "other corrections" option to send a message.
BURIAL Coordinates (GPS) are on most of our recent grave photos . just click on "pin on Map" and it will take your computer to them. no fuss locating.
that saves entering plot on each grave with our photos and gets the searcher closer even using a smart phone.
