Bio Photo How Will I Be Remembered?
by Alice E. Chase

What will they say about me
Those whom I hold so dear?
What will they best remember
When I'm no longer here?

Will they recall mistakes I've made
Battles I never won?
Moment of pain I've cause them
Things I have left undone?

Will they censor my human failings
And wish I'd been noble and strong?
Will they scoff at the hopes I nurtured
The dreams that somehow went wrong?

Or will they be moved by compassion
Directed from Heaven above
To Temper their judgment with kindness
and soften their memories with love.

RE: Minnie O. Brock Ellis
Hi Patsy
I am not related to Minnie Brock Ellis, as far as I know. I do have an Ellis line and I am sure that I ran across Minnie's death certificate while looking for some of my Ellis relatives who may have gone to Texas. Thank you so much for putting the photo on line and getting in touch with me.

Elizabeth Miller stone
I went back to take a look and can't read it. As you can see from the photos the stone has been broken and pushed into the ground. I will go back better prepared and try to get better pics.

Wiley D. Bennet
Hello! My grandfather was Wiley Dorson Bennett, Jr. Wiley D. Bennett Sr. (great grandfather) died about two years before I was born. My great grandmother Lena would pick me up for church or to go into town when I was little. I was actually supposed to go with her the day she died but, had an ear infection and could not go. My mother is Wiley D. Bennett, Jr's. daughter, Loretta Sue.
I just found this and wanted to touch base. It is so wonderful to find family here! I have the pictures you have posted.
My name is Tamra. My mother married Richard Collinsworth of Los Fresnos so, I was Collinsworth but, my married name is Parrish.
Hope to hear from you!

RE: Balzers
There's only 2 buried there, and I've attached photos of their marker to each. I had just noticed you had added a family photo to August Balzer, so I thought you might want to know this.

Would you please make your request for the memorials you would like transferred by using the individual memorial edit tabs? The request in my public message area is too generic for me to make any transfers. Please include your relationship in the request. Thanks!

RE: Bennett Family
Ernest Bennett was a different Bennett family. Strange enough they lived down the street from us when I was growing up and his daughter Roxie and I were the best of friends. But there never was a connection between those Bennetts and my mother's family that I know of.

RE: Dr. William Henry Bennett Jr.
Hi Patsy
Sorry, I didn't know Dr. Bennett, and I don't have any additional info about him. I had just left a message for the contributor who made the memorial because I was doing some clean up work in Harris County and she had put him in a nonexistent cemetery.
The pictures you added to the memorial are great. Sorry I couldn't help.
