Hello! To begin, I am a LADY. Confusing first name.|
On this website I am attempting to enter information from the west side of Iron County, Michigan in the Upper Peninsula, where I live. It's BEAUTIFUL here, with forests, lakes, hills, and rivers. The history of the area comes alive for me as I work on this.
I also am entering information from my own family tree and my husband's. We have 5 young adult children and one grandchild, and I'd like to preserve the family tree information for them.
I am a retired High School Librarian, so researching and recording this information is pretty thrilling & natural for me!

Where did you get that photo of Meme? My husband's siblings will be glad to see it.
Thank you for adding it.

You recently declined a request to add a marker transcription for Wilmer Zempel. I recently photographed all the markers at Concordia Cemetery and added a photo of Wilmer's military marker which says:
TEC 4 US ARMY
WORLD WAR II
The reason you gave for declining the request is "Content submitted does not belong in this data field." The transcriptions for both family markers and military markers belong in the marker transcription field.
I am resubmitting the request. Please reconsider your decision and allow Wilmer's military transcription to be added to his memorial to the marker transcription field. Thanks!

That is a beautiful picture of him that you posted on John's memorial! If you're related to him at all, I'd be happy to transfer his memorial to you. Just ask. As for his middle name being Carl (your edit/suggestion), could you please tell me the source you have for that? Thanks.

Thank you very much for your help in trying to locate Hoggy's grave marker. What you found out is also very sad for I did not know that Ronald had passed this past August. I knew both of these men and spent time in Gastra with them when Hoggy use to live down in Wisconsin. He and I use to go visit his father many times through out the years. I miss him well. Hopefully I can make the trip up there to pay my respects soon. Thank you again.

There is till no cemetery I know of where Terry Leroy Hastings is buried. He was 63 when he died and is in the obituary section at t-g.com for August, 2015.
My brother-in-law was Terry Lynn Hastings buried in Willow Mount Cemetery.

You're very welcome - glad I could help. I have also had some poor results, but they are few compared to the many good results I have had. Good luck with your research!

If you are interested I have photos of the Monte Carlo Club taken in 1936 by Isabelle Arts Jirak. It looks like she might have worked there being she is wearing an apron in one of them. Maybe you can help me identify some of the men in the pix.
send me your email address & I can forward them to you.
There are 7 of them and one that MIGHT be of a couple taken at this time.
My name is Sheri

I see your problem. Not sure I have an answer. Desert Lawn Cemetery is only a few miles from Hillside. I know Earl Giddings who put in the Desert Lawn grave. He is a good researcher but I am not sure he's active anymore. I could try to call him.
