Barbara,
I believe you're correct. I was trying to place her. You can not go by what somebody tells you.

RE: Francis Stephenson #84422525
I would like to know more about this Francis Stephenson (2014)as I was told she moved to Missouri.
Nobody in that part of the family is living and was told she had passed some time back.

RE: Thomas Wallace
Such an interesting life. As you say it doesn't always happen that you get such a well expressed obit with all the detail. Thank you for posting it. Julia Johnson

Ann Maria Peyton Canon
Barb,
I've sent several updates for her but didn't get to share that her info is from Missouri Death Certificate # 12284, Worth County 1947. It also lists her middle name as Maria and parents John Payton (Peyton?) born in Virginia and Matilda Wake born in Kentucky with the informant of Delsie Mathews (her daughter). Ann died of Influenza.

Thanks for all of your assistance, friend!

RE: Robert Hartschen
Thank you, Barb...

I have requested the same of the other contributor.

I know from many years experience that even stones can be misleading. If their names were on a family stone for his parents in Bethany, that may only be a cenotaph.

The only concerning thing is that Ocie B. Hartschen is on the US Public Record in June of 2000 with a residence at Bethany, Missouri. But, then again, she could have gone home to stay with family after her husband's death and was sent back to Iowa to be buried alongside him.

That is why I try to get a death place, cemetery record and stone if possible. But then, I have found hundreds with no stone, no cemetery record, no DC and only family to confirm the burial - that is always a mess! Thanks for helping...we will see if anything shows up. Cheers, Shirleen
