Bio and Links
Bio Photo My husband and I enjoy genealogy and getting out to cemeteries, usually locally, to document those that have come before us. If we are researching our family and see older headstones we try to clean them up so we can get the best record of them before they are lost forever.

Some of the family names in my tree are: Baker, Garber, Chambers, Commes, Johnson, Miller, Molitor, Spang, Ertle, Rowsey, Flagler, Hartung, Bluebauck, Lierly/Lierle/Lyerly, Schiltz, Dornbach, Griffin, Heflin and Dawson. Mostly located in Illinois and Wisconsin, USA.

Your long shot was worth the effort. I have added a photo to Lawrence's memorial page.

RE: Draudts of Aurora, IL
Hi Cheri,

I do not think the Mary Kramer (maiden name not given) in Find-a-Grave 74813477 is a daughter of John Draudt and Mary Bartel. They had a daughter Mary Draudt born about Nov 1850, and was alive in 1920 living as a widow according to the 1920 census. On 7 Feb 1871 she had married Nicholas Kramer who was born 16 Sep 1846 and died 16 Feb 1884.

Mary Draudt, wife of Nicholas Kramer, was alive in 1920. However, Mary Kramer, wife of John J. Kramer, died 3 Aug 1913 according to Find-a-Grave 74813477.

Did John Draudt and Mary Bartel have two daughters named Mary? Maybe, but I have not found any reliable sources for it.

Your thoughts?

With kind regards,
