The Thomaston-Upson Archives opened in April of 1996 with the help and funding of the Upson Historical Society, City of Thomaston, the County of Upson and the Thomaston-Upson Board of Education. The Thomaston Upson Archives preserves local government records, dating back to 1824, as well as recorded history and family genealogies by housing them in a secure and climate-controlled building. Public holdings, of the Archives, are open to the public during regular operating hours of Monday – Friday 8 a.m.-5 p.m. The Thomaston Upson Archives is housed in the former R. E. Lee Institute High School library, named the George A. Harrison Memorial Library.|
It is our hope, in the realm of findagrave, to place the memorials we create in the caring hands of those who would like to continue the memory of the loved and lost.

I will not be able to drive to Barnesville any time soon, so can we try this: my e-mail address is email@example.com . I will e-mail you a "Yellow Numbered Section Map of Greenwood Cemetery" that I just threw together -- I will e-mail this as a photo/attachment. Please, have your volunteer look at this map and see if he can recognize which "yellow number/section" of Greenwood Cemetery poet Louisa Winifred "Loula" (Kendall) ROGERS (1838-1931) and/or her sister Julia Helen (Kendall) LOCKETT (unknown-1910) are buried near/in. Thank you.

I am trying to find where in Greenwood Cemetery, Barnesville, (Lamar), Georgia, USA, poet Louisa Winifred "Loula" (Kendall) ROGERS (1838-1931) is buried. I was led to your FindAGrave.com profile through your photo of her sister Julia Helen (Kendall) LOCKETT (1841-1910)'s grave marker in this same cemetery. "Loula" may be buried near her sister. According to my research, Loula was also a music teacher at the Robert E. Lee Institute before 1879. Loula later became a teacher at the Gordon Institute in Barnesville. I believe Loula also wrote a poem in memory of her sister Julia's late daughter. No. I was wrong. The poem is "Little Julia's Mission" that was written in memory of Julia Wright KENDALL (1884-1885) who was the daughter of Loula and Julia's brother Dr. Thomas Rogers KENDALL (1846-1936), a Methodist minister at Trinity Church in Atlanta, Georgia. Do you remember approximately where in Greenwood Cemetery Julia LOCKETT (1841-1910)'s grave marker is? Thank you -- firstname.lastname@example.org

Are there 2 grave markers for Josiah M Ellington? I have a photo of a small military one and then on the photo that is with his wife's memorial, Memorial# 86039053, I see that there is a double one with his information. I would just like some verification.
Thanks for all you do on Find a grave.
