 | RE: Rhodes tombstones You're most welcome! The stone is in excellent shape and the cemetery is a very pretty one, hidden away in the woods, but well tended. Glad to help out and I appreciate your message.Added by psc on Apr 25, 2013 3:11 PM | | | Albuquerque Firefly

The parents don't seem to be in the same cemetery, or at least, no record yet has surfaced. Good luck! | | | Kelly Harper Walter
 | Harriet Rogers Hello, I have been working on my Dickey ancestry and saw your entry for Harriet Rogers, who was married to Thomas C Dickey. Do you have a connection to the Dickey family? I'm trying to trace back beyond Thomas' father James Henderson Dickey, or find a death record for James at least, but am not having much luck. The information on Find-A-Grave for Tom is very interesting and nice to see. I have 3 letters that Thomas wrote to my great-great grandfather, Otho Dickey, in 1867 when Otho had not yet returned to his family after fighting for the Confederate army in the war (Tom fought for the union).
Would be interested in any Dickey info you might have.
Thanks,
Kelly Walter

 | RE: Kate (Deland) Hull It is weird.
Delamer DeLand is my wife's great-grandpa. We have pictures of him, even some tintypes. We are thinking we MIGHT even have some tintypes of Kate Hull, but have no way of verifying that.
Capt. DeLand is buried in Missouri, as I think I mentioned before. He married Elizabeth Smith (Thompson Smith and Martha Duff's daughter) in Dewitt shortly after the Civil War. Capt. DeLand signed up for the Union Army in Ohio, where some other cousins were. My thinking is that when Silas was killed by the horse kick in Vermont, they left Vermont shortly afterwards, maybe living in Ohio for a short span (he signed up in Zanesville).
We've visited Delamer's memorial/monument at Chickamauga battlefield several times.
Anyway, I'm going to send you a request through the website to add Lucinda's number to Kate Hull to connect the parents, if you could. That would put all the kids with the parents.
Thanks again! Brian | | | BF McLaughlin
 | RE: Kate (Deland) Hull That's so weird, Judy, because I called Woodlawn about a year ago and they said there wasn't a Lucinda there.
My info on Thompson being there (and his wife Martha) came from a one-line death record I got from the county. It actually said "Wood Lawn". Maybe incorrect? Maybe unmarked?
What do you think?
Also, I'll create Lucinda's memorial now and link her up. I had never created it because of what I was told on the phone.
