Bio and Links
Bio Photo I started several years ago looking for information on my father's grandparents, which led me to all of the other families in my family tree. I now have volumes of information and files of pictures, and lots of books! Someone told me years ago that this hobby would become additive, which it has, but so rewarding. I love finding a new piece to the puzzle. After a trip in 2009 to do research in Washington DC, on family members pension records from the Civil War and research at the DAR Library, for the Revolutinary War, I decided I would look for all of the men who fought in the Civil War with my great, great grandfather (100th Indiana Infantry, Company C, from LaGrange Co., Indiana) I wanted to know who they were and who their families were. So I started compiling info on each of these men. NEWS- (April 2012) I just finished my book and I have several copies available if anyone wants one. It is The Men of the 100th Indiana Infantry, Company C. (I am now compiling information on Company B of the 100th Indiana Infantry). The main families I work on are Rupert, Dye, Lancaster, Walda, Reinking, Holsinger, Oliver. I am always happy to answer questions about any of these families and others too.

You have her father as Emanuel Gonsalus that is Eleanor's father. I am so sorry if I have confused you.

I think this will straighten it out

Daniel Beinbrech info . . .
Cheri, I wonder if you have any suggestions about a dilemna I've run into. You gave me management of Daniel Beinbrech's Findagrave site (#28285782) some time ago. Recently a distant German relative has directed me to a German site that has a significantly different year of birth, and a slightly different death month.
I would like to find a German speaker in the area of the cemetery who could try for a translation of the information on the gravestone. If not a willing fellow geneaologist, I would be willing to pay something for that - maybe $25-30??
Please tell me what you think. The difference between the birthdate currently there (1721) and the German date (1732) is considerable and I'm trying to figure out what the best solution to the difference is.
Thanks for any thoughts. Anne Wagner

RE: Clark Lee
You are welcome. This cemetery is not like other national cemeteries I've been to (not that I've been to many). They have a black mailbox up at the entrance with a white ring binder inside that "lists" everyone buried there. I found one not listed but found the grave so I know "the list" is incorrect. The numbering is a little wonky so I had to have the head guy show me the graves I was searching for. I crossed check on the National database and couldn't find him either. Good luck in your search.
