I am retired and living on the western shores of Lake Whitney in Texas. I have been interested in genealogy for many years but am not a professional; it is a hobby in my old age.
If I can be of service to anyone who finds an error in my memorials or would like to have more details added for your loved ones, please do not hesitate to contact me. Please use the Edit tab on the specific memorial page. I will respect your additions, and corrections.
Are you related to the Toten families I have worked to collect and link many of my Toten family records and have just recently found folks in a branch you have records you manage, that I am just now connecting with.
I'd love to visit if we are family, and may have some transfer requests, update link requests etc. as I begin to work this area of my family.
Thanks for the massive work you do for Find-A-Grave.
RE: Re: Rachel Lee Henderson Dukes I know what you mean, it can be confusing :-) I was just trying to get my relative George A Dukes linked to his second wife when I realized there were 2 memorials for Rachel Lee Henderson-Howard-Dukes.
Julius Wilson Eddings at Brazos Point Cemetery Researched Eddings for many years. Always thought Julius Wilson died in New Mexico in 1935 and was brought back and buried at Brazos Point cem. Recent discovery of a death certificate from Littlefield in Lamb county Texas changes this. He died there in 1935. Information on death cert. matches all details for Julius Wilson Eddings. Just FYI. RE: Fred Smith/Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery Thank you for taking the time to assess the headstone so closely and offer your comments. So we have Jan 31st, 1902 as a date of death. As for taking over any of the Smith family memorials, thanks for offering. At the moment they are in 'good hands' and we appreciate your efforts; perhaps when I finish most of the family research, there will be time. Appreciate all your interest and dedication. Carol
RE: Fred Smith/Smith Bend-Coon Creek Cemetery Hello Lou: that is thoughtful of you to check on the dates. I looked at our own photos from our visit to Smith Bend cemetery several years ago and the shadows are such that I can't tell either. Fred died very young, the only son of my husband's grandparents.
RE: Roy Cecil Jones Hi, The information I have came from his sisters Edna & Ruby (his twin) many years ago. They did not say if Minne Powell died or they divorced. He was single with no dependents in Dec 1941 when he enlisted in the Air Corps. Roy did not have any children by either wife.
