My name is Marilyn Price Morris. I was born in Russellville, Arkansas and presently live in Blue Springs, Missouri. I am married to Walter Lewis Morris. We have two daughters, LaDonna Gorden and Stephanie Morris. |
I am currently collecting information to compile the J. D. & America Rook Smith history, BDR & Nancy Smith Shinn history, Frederick Smith and Lisia Alita Epps history, George Washington II & Ruby Elizabeth May Price history, Lavina Love history, Benjamin Nixon Rook history, Dempsey Griffin & Rebecca Brown history, and Daniel Levi and Laura L. Griffin May history plus other allied lines.
You have my permission to copy any information and/or photos without asking for my permission to use in your family history that I have added to my memorials. It is nice to receive credit though.

I also question Ferdinand Bocksnik's date of death, 1910. The 1920 census has Anna, widowed, but with her youngest child Elsie being born in 1914. Elsie was born April 9, 1914 and married Elmer Gibson.
Her sister Lena R Bocksnik married Iverson Gibson, Elmer's brother.

Marilyn, I appreciated Ruby's obituary. The Waldo family are associated with the Awalt family; of which, I am researching/gathering all the information I possibly can for the Awalt book I'm putting together - 570 pages, and more.
|Joseph StCloud IRWIN||Sarah Kempker|
Sarah Kempker's grave stone has an "emblem of
belief" in the top that indicates her belief
was Hindu. Did you know her well enough to say
that was her belief. There is a Robert Michael
Kemper buried in the Arlington National Cemetery
with the same "emblem of belief". Do you know if
that is her husband ? His name was Robert ?
Sarah's obit mentions she worked on a secret
bomb site in World War II. Do you know what kind
of work she did in Russellville ? would be
interested any addition info you might exchange.
|Nanstein||RE: Your information|
LOL. I joke about that as well. My father came from Pope, Arkansas and I have the second volume of History of Pope County Arkansas.
My link is Victor E Countz. He was son of Dora Norma Shoptaw who was married to Charles Zenamous Countz. She also married Philip Moyle and I can't find her burial anywhere.
From there we connected to the Shinns as well and if you are related to the Shoptaws and Shinns, you are eventually related to everyone in Pope County, LOL

Marilyn, You have been spot on with your information and I LOVE seeing your name pop up during my research. And a great deal of the pictures I have seen YOU have posted. Thank you so much for your diligence in doing ancestry work and for your public shares of this information.
I am Nancy Dick and my line connects from me to Countz to Shoptaw and Shinn families in Pope, Arkansas. I joke that I'm related to most of Pope County Arkansas. The only people that I actually KNEW from there growing up were Gilbert and Florence Shoptaw Casey and corresponded with LeVan Shoptaw before he passed.

|Karen Bortner||Thank you!|
Hi, Marilyn, I want to thank you for time and research with the Wade family. I have been able to finally match part of a family that had been estranged.

The last time my dad saw Uncle Forest was at his brother's funeral (Herald) in 1969. So he wasn't a recluse, I doubt that HE changed the spelling.I will look through my Hip. stuff.

|Dana||RE: spelling of Hueppelsheuser 3|
Many thanks. I would agree with the different spelling. Since he was in service,it could have been when he enlisted and that service may have changed it.
It would have been nice before my father and uncles passed away to see this. The last time I saw Forest was when my grandmother was in the hospital for the leg burns.We had came from California for my Grandfather Anderson's funeral.(Dec.1960)
Check out my bios on Forest's parents and sisters.I have even gone as posting statements made by my father about his great grandparents (1902).
His brothers (Leonard Sr. and Paul)are held by people I do not know,so there is no bio on them.Robert Glenn died in 1928,close appx. to the Riots in Tulsa,OK date, a bystander maybe.
Uncle Forest may have been married more than twice,not sure as there is no one to prove it or disprove. I now must get out my Hueppelsheuser pictures and post them through my friend with a scanner.
