Note: any reference to the city of Washington versus the county of Washington, both of which were used in the early days of the District of Columbia (D.C.) will be omitted on my memorials or any requests to alter them since the residence of the deceased and/or the actual place of death would also have to be known and before 1850 or so. The city was divided into several parts when drawn up and laid out in the 1790s but these distinctions were dropped long before 1850. There is a need for some memorials of an early date to have this but for most others it is not accurate any longer. All are just Washington, D.C.

|McCrea-Brady||Lucille Edwards - Riverview Cem|
Good morning. Still looking for Lucille and have also been working on grave locations in Riverview. Do you have any information for her parents names? I ran across 2 blocks that has 6 graves (3 per block) They have record of 5 interments for these 2 blocks. The one block has
Raleigh M (Lot 11A) and Janie T (Lot 11B) and Lot 11C as empty. Are these folks possibly kin to her? Records for this cemetery prior to 1940 were not kept accurately. If you have any additional info for her parents let me know as I am still looking....
Thanks very much -
Regards - Beth

|Michael [Randy] Walsh||Depue|
I relabeled the caption with more detail. This branch of Depue's originated from Belvidere N.J. Hervey & Susan were parents of Charles Sr. whom had 6 children. All 5 boys were in the service. 3 of the children lived into their 90's and daughter Marion was still living as of 3 - 4 years ago. My Uncle lived across the street from their family home for 40 years and helped Bill dispose of much of his belongings after his stroke. I rescued a good amount of loose items from the attic as he never had children and pretty much out lived much of his family. Have linked a fair number of family members on both sides of Bill & Charles Jr.'s family.

Thank you for providing the picture.
I never had the opportunity of seeing my father's half brother. As I remember, my father only got to see him once himself.
My Grandfather was married 4 times in all and Ballard's mother was my Grandfather's first wife who died after giving birth to twin girls. My father was the progeny of my Grandfather's fourth wife who was almost younger than some of his older children.
My Grandfather was not close to his older children who were raised by their Grandmother: Martha George in Oklahoma. After serving in the Spanish-American War, my Grandfather left Eastern Oklahoma for Central Arkansas where he died in 1953.
