...I am a belgian living in the Verdun area of France , I live about 10 minutes from the Romagne sous Montfaucon cemetery of Lorraine --
I just finished taking pictures in the Meuse Argonne cemetery , and will continue in Hamm luxembourg ---Once finished I intend to go to Saint Mihiel , St Avold and Belleau -to take pictures of all the markers there ... I try to do the smaller british cemeteries on my way through France and Belgium ..
Sometimes adding a complete graveyard isn t possible , as often there are headstones missing due to replacement or the stones are in very bad condition and cannot be read ---but I always try to get them done as complete as possible , so please forgive me if sometimes a few pictures are missing --because it isn t always possible to do a return journey .
Sorry to have to ask, but...
***Please don't take my photos and claim them as your own work***
Allow me to post them.
and please don t add more names in the Meuse Argonne site , all the names are there-
Remember to double-click on photos to get a larger and clearer view
small contributions towards my volunteer work in Panama are allways very welcome--This is the website where you can add a few pennies

|Geoffrey Steel||Harry (Henry) Blooman|
Thankyou so much for adding a photo of my Great Uncle.Grave marker ..we have a black and white photo taken of a wooden cross with 3 metal tags, showing the grave of Harry and 2 others which the Australian Forces supplied to his mother (which was in the papers of my grandmother Henry or Harry sister)This was presumably taken a few days after he died in 1917.. however it is so small you cant read the tags..it has been written on the back of the photo as the grave of Henry Blooman...
Anyhow , it is comforting to see the grave stone...especially as we found out , Henry was the first of our family to emigrate to Australia in 1911, and we "followed" in 1974 !!
Thanks again..Geoff Steel

Hi, THANKYOU VERY MUCH for taking the photo of my uncles grave, John Edward Creasey, who died in the first world war. I never knew my uncle but you have given me a memory of him that I am so grateful for. Thank you for taking the time to do this for me, I appreciate it enormously :-)

|EAW||PVT Willard H. Groff|
Thank you for posting a picture of PVT Willard H. Groff's grave at the Meuse-Argonne American Cemetery. Willard was my great uncle and for many years my grandfather was unable to locate his final resting place in France or visit his grave. This is the only picture that we have seen of his grave. Many thanks for your thoughtful work.

Hello, thank you for the headstone picture you added to Anders Rosenvold. Will you give me permission to attach your picture with credits to my Ancestry account ? You picture is the only one I have for him . Anders was the husband of my great- grand Aunt Ester. Thank you for your consideration.

|Eileen Gillette||Arthur Sherman Photo Request|
You had asked me to remove Arthur from the cemetery in France stating you have photographed all the cemetery and said he isn't there. Records indicate otherwise so I will be leaving him there. I will make a note on his memorial of your suggestion and my response to such.
I tried to write you privately but your e-mail bounced.
Thank you for all you have done, you make a difference.
