I am a nurse living in Hanover, Virginia, trained in Orthopaedics, Total Joint Replacements, and Pain Management. Giving good help to those in need is my passion for nursing.|
I got started in full-time genealogy research in 2002. I enjoy researching my family genealogy. Maternal line of interest includes: Archer, Austin, Brooks, Funn, Ryland, Taylor, and Word. Paternal line of interest includes: Vaughan and Rollins.
I have listed local cemetery grave sites in Richmond, Virginia and surrounding areas, obtained from local newspaper obituaries and local funeral home Web sites.
Thanks to those who have placed cemetery photos and flowers at my family memorials.

Hi Joyce, I wrote you earlier about my Vaughan family question on Mary Elizabeth Vaughan in your tree. I have found these are two different ladies and not the same Vaughan family. I thought there for a minute I had found her and sorry to take your time. Keep up your good work. Hettie

|S M||VAUGHAN FAMILY|
Hi Joyce, I am a member of the Vaughan family of Caroline, King and Queen, Chesterfield (Ettrick/Matoaca areas)counties. I am working on my John Jefferson Vaughan line of Caroline county and believe I have found a brother for him, Richard, who also served in the civil war. His wife's name was Mary Elizabeth Vaughan but maiden name not known so far. Age would also fit but younger than Richard, still that's appropriate for that era. They were married 1852 (I have marriage document). Could this be the same one buried here in the Vaughan Family Cemetery? Any help or info would be greatly appreciated. Hettie (SM on FB acct)

Joyce, I think my memory is playing tricks on me. Just after I sent my earlier message, I think I remember we talked a couple of years ago and discovered we are not related after all.

You show the Vaughan family as your paternal line. It is my maternal line and I think it is likely we are related.
I sent an email to your address at Robert Crews Vaughan's memorial but realize it may either have gone to your spam folder or the address may be an old one.
I'd enjoy having some help to research my Vaughan ancestors and would like to hear from you.

Sorry, but I do not have any additional information about Mary.

I'm confused -- is there something I should do?

Could you make a notation on her listing that her birth mother was Edna Mae Hawkins Puryear 1908-1934 #33946956. She died when Georgette was an infant and she knew no other mother than Elizabeth. Thank you.

|Shannon B||Jerry D. Patton|
Hi Joyce! I wanted to let you know I have uploaded a photo for Jerry D. Patton (#33280170) at Mt. Muncie in Kansas. I also submitted an edit to link Mr. Patton to his parents Ruby & Stella.
Thought you would like to know!
|David Miller||RE: Raymond|
Yes, Raymond Fuller was my mother's father. I have traced his line all the way back to the large family of Fullers from Redinhall England. The same Fullers came over on the Mayflower and the Abigail in 1620 and 1635.
