I was born in Detroit Michigan in 1951, lived 1957|
thru 1962 in Port Huron with many summers in Harbor Beach at the cousins and grand parents (where now I live 'virtually' chasing ancestoral ties! ;-)
Moved as a young lad to Ft Lauderdale Florida summer of '62, where I did all my formative years; including college (UF, Gainesville) and initial corporate life. This is also the state where three of my four children were born from 1977-81, save one who was born in Georgia in '79 when we lived in Gwinnett County from late '77 through 1980. Moved to California in early 1982 and have been out here ever since.
As of January 2013 I am father of 4, remarried for 17 years and step-father to 2 more. Grandfather of 6 (soon 7) husband to my lovely 1995 bride Lily, a Peruvian immigrant when she was in her teens.
Active genealogist, when I can find the time while
employed. Got the bug in the late 70's and
contributed a great deal (via a 1981 trip to England) to a 4 volume publishing of "The Silverthorn History" in 1982 by Montgomery Reed. Mr Reed was kind to name me as co-author of the "English Origins" which made up about half of the first volume. Mr Reed passed away in 2012, we will miss him.
Currently residing in San Diego, California.

The Memorial 11803181 for Harley Wing Sr could include that his wife was Martha H. Klug b. 27 Nov 1896 in Sherman Twp, Huron Co, MI and died 7 Apr 1984 in Gladwin Michigan.
I am not sure of the burial place for Martha H. Wing. If you want to find out and add a page for her I can add some photos.

Hello William - I am a descendant of the Silverthorns (Louella Sherwood, Florence S'thorn, Charles S., Reuben S. William J. S., Jonathan, etc.). Anyway, I came across your name while looking at a memorial for Howard Silverthorn, who is buried in Novesta Cemetery, Cass City, Michigan. YOu mentioned you co-authored a book about the Silverthorns, and I would like to know how I could get a copy, if indeed you are related to my Silverthorns. Thanks for your time, Rick Parrott

My great grand uncle Austin O. Wright and his wife Elizabeth(VanCamp)Wright adopted children, most from a family named Sly. The Wrights lived in Worth Township near Lexington in Sanilac County. One of the adopted kids was Lee Wright. It appears his birth mother was a Silverthorn. Do you have any hunch on who his mother may have been:
