I began tracing the SWEANY genealogy when I was 18 years old at the request of my grandfather, Clark Deputy SWEANY. It is a true passion of mine. It is the legacy I'll leave to my SWEANY family. Major family names: SWEANY (and spelling variations thereof), DEPUTY, RUDDICK, LEWIS, ARBUCKLE, BARNES, HUGHES and MONROE. Member: National Genealogical Society, Indiana Genealogical Society, Indiana County History Preservation Society, Riley County Kansas Genealogical Society. |
I've always enjoyed cemeteries. My little Maltese, Cody, and I frequent not only Tennessee cemeteries where we live but southern Indiana cemeteries also as my family currently lives there/all my family lines are from there and we visit at least once a month. If I can help with any pictures, please do a photo request and ask that it be assigned to me-that way I'll receive an email and won't miss your request.
From fellow Find-A-Gravers, Corey & Douglas Marshall-Steele, who were so kind as to take a photo for me, I use the message from their profile: "I am always happy to transfer memorials to the family to which they belong. The Golden Rule trumps the guidelines, and hoarding is just stingy and small." That pretty much says it all.
I wish you success in your searches and if I can help in any way, just ask!

|Ties That Bind||Baird family|
Could you please take a look at the SACs I've sent in the last couple of months for my Baird family in Wilson County? Should I send them again? I appreciate your work on Find-A-Grave and would really like to work with you on these family memorials.

I have another mystery for you. Lewis Schupp is buried in W/H section 09, lot 13, grave 6. In W/H-09, grave 5 beside him is Blanche Lammert who died 8/4/1918 the day Lewis was buried. I created a memorial for her. This information all comes from Walnut Hill Cemetery records. Paul

I entered the mother-son link as you requested. I also found Lewis is in a section near Harry so I created a memorial for him and linked him to wife and son. Also, J. F. Schupp died only a few months after Lewis and is buried in the same grave with him so I created a memorial for that one too but did not link it. Do you know who J. F. is? I entered the Harry memorial because I do not want these babies/children who are buried alone to be lost and forgotten. I feel certain they were much loved at one time and I always hope that like Harry they will one day be connected with those who loved them. I am not related and will transfer any you want to manage. Hi. As you mentioned I live in Florida now. Back when I was working on the cemeteries in Hampshire County, I lived there and it was easy. My goal at the time was to locate as many as I could. I found over 300 cemeteries in that county alone. At that time individual photographs were no considered at that time, but at a later day.. I moved, and that is all I did.
I'm not sure what site you saw, but if you Google:
Hampshire McGahuey Cemetery
You will get the list of all the cemeteries and who is buried in them. I know of no one that takes photos in that area.
I know the family that owns the land that the Monroe cemetery is on, kind of. It has bee over 10 years since I saw anyone around there. His last name is Davis, whose mother in law was Gilda Wolford, how worked at the town/poice office of Capon Bridge. Contace the Rulitan Club there, and they may be able to help.

I am a James Arbuckle decendent...they were from Bartholomew County, Indiana. My James was married to Lucy. My James and your James were probably cousins or in some way related.
