Bio Photo Pre-script -- My account has more than 5000 memorials, about 500 or 600 of these are family members for my husband and myself. I would be more than happy to transfer outside the "guidelines". Just ask. Any relation or friend situation. I am not a selfish person. Some findagrave folks treat memorials like baseball cards and horde them. For what end?! I say --- Guidelines, Schmidelines..... There would be less problems and bad feelings all around if there were more generosity. But if there were no guidelines, some people would never even learn how to do a transfer...... I put information on this site in the hopes that someone someday asks for a transfer of a great grand aunt or uncle or cousin. This just means that people are looking....Happy to help!

My first stop in a cemetery is any photo requests, then it is the small white markers with the little lambs; the ones that are slowly giving in to the elements. Next, Veterans from any war, especially the Civil War, they seem to be forgotten about. This summer has been spent on many a gravel road with map in hand looking for the small out of the way cemeteries in this area. Sometimes hubby comes along.

More than happy to transfer any family, except of course, my relatives. Gladly will make any corrections, additions or relationship links. The great thing about findagrave is so many helpful, friendly people adding pieces to the genealogy puzzle.

Hello, Kateb,

I is with deep gratitude that I write to you. Thank you so much for you aid and in family history work. It is really invaluable. I am humbly requesting some info on the grave of a great aunt of mine. I was so glad to find her gravestone on this site. (Find A Grave Memorial# 90900608) I was wondering if I could get a transcription of the message on her grave. It is too faded to see from the picture. It is probably in Danish. No need to translate I can figure that out later.

This isn't a request that is needed in order to make family tree connections. It is just something that I wish to have on record.

Thank you very much for all that you and your husband do.

Best,
Jesse Rhodes

Thora Andresen
Thank you for taking the time to get the photo of Thora Andresen's grave for me, and so quickly. She was my Great Grandmother, but up until now I've known almost nothing about her. I had no idea where she was buried and wasn't even sure when she had died. Thank you for clearing it up for me, it's nice to know where she is. And nice to see that there are helpful and kind people willing to help.

RE: Spaeth transfers
Thanks again for all your efforts... it's nice to know there are quality collaborators out there. I'm finishing some research on this couple & get the essential details for this couple & their LARGE family -- according to the 1900 Census they had 17 children! I've got my work ahead of me! Namaste, "PJ"

RE: St Mary's Cemetery in Breck
Kate,
I went over to St. Mary's on Friday and again today.
I'm assuming that we're looking for an unmarked grave(s).
I'm also assuming that the cross you are referring to is the one on top of the headstone right behind the Bock's as I face west.
So far there is no flag (maybe the caretaker is also a procrastinator lol) and I just don't see anything that looks like an unmarked grave.
Plus, given how full this cemetery is I don't see where there's room for any other graves.
But....I won't give up!!
I'll keep checking and I'll keep you updated.
