Was so surprised to see a picture of my great grandfather roy thank-you
For the third time please remove the photos you took from my tree at Ancestry and posted as your own to my great-grandparents Peter W Johnson and Jennie Dexter Johnson. YOU DO NOT HAVE MY PERMISSION TO USE ANY PHOTOS OR DOCUMENTS IN MY FAMILY TREE AT ANCESTRY! Your continual violation of the copyright rules has been reported.
|Shelly||Fredrick Graeber, Rochester IOOF Cemetery|
Hello. I wanted to say thank you for the photo of the grave stone of Fredrick and Margaret Graeber located in Rochester IOOF Cemetery which you posted on Findagrave.com as well as the photo of Fredrick himself.
As for your photos ... may I have permission to post them (and any other of your photos of my ancestors' and/or their graves that you may have posted or will post in the future) on my Ancestry.com file. I post a message under the photo giving credit to the person who took the photo. I have no interest in publishing any books or using the photos in any way other than for genealogical purposes. I have several things I post under the photos depending on the "owner" of the photo's desires. I have two below ... if you will allow me to post your grave photos on my Ancestry file then I'll place the statement of your choice. The second one has a _____ in it and that's where I would place your e-mail address so people can contact you directly for permission.
NOTE: This photo was obtained from a Findagrave.com photo volunteer and the volunteer has kindly given me permission to post this on my Ancestry.com file. You should take the steps to contact the owner of the photo for permission to use this photo for your personal use ... permission is NOT granted by me for any use as it is not mine to give.

Again, thank you so much for your kindness ... Find A Grave volunteers are wonderful people :-)

Please re-post pics with option "person" (drop box where it has "grave" above link to pic.). This generates a "pic frame" symbol next to name. (I forget to do this at times.) Thanks. (Note: if is a pic from obit, best to delete per copyright/findagrave rules, plus the one that's distorted should be deleted anyway.)

Would you please remove the photo from memorial #45506520 that was posted without permission?
Reference Findagrave policy below:
Can I add a photo that I found on Find a Grave or on a different website?
No. Do not add photos to Find A Grave that you have acquired from another memorial or from another source.

We are currently working to identify anyone buried in Westlawn-Hillcrest Cemetery Omaha NE that has served in the military. If you have a loved one buried there or know of someone, please send us a message. We place flags on the graves for Memorial Day. This project is sponsored by Centennial Masonic Lodge #326.
If you can send us the names, we will be sure to include them on our list to get a flag.
Thank you for the help with this ongoing project.
If you have already received this message, please accept our apologies for the duplicate message.
Hi Daune, Thank you for the photo of Roy, Ivy, and Lonnie Main that you put on Lonnie's memorial. If I may make a suggestion? When you post a photo of a person, click person, so it will show a picture icon instead of a tombstone. You can delete the photo and reload it so it will show the right icon. You ought to load that photo for Roy also. Thank You, Jim
I note that you have posted pictures in Find-a-grave of many of my family in violation of copyright law and Find-a-grave policy--these pictures were copied from my Ancestry.com site.
While I won't insist that you take them down, I think you should know that it is common courtesy to get permission to use others' pictures and then to give credit for each picture to the owner. --RDR
Please check the FAQ concerning copyright. The photos you posted to Elmer Johnson and Celia Kolb belong to me and came from my tree at Ancestry. Please remove them.
