Yes, I understand the memorial you are referring to. You are missing the point that this information appeared on the census for this cemetery. The chances that there are more than one Jennie Reid are large. All because it isn't 'your' Jennie, doesn't mean that she didn't exist.

Hi - you asked that this memorial be deleted because it is a duplicate of this memorial: Margaret Jane Reid, 65371274.

The DOB for these memorials are different. Are you sure there are not two Jennie Reids born on different days?

Your Memorial created March 25, 2015
Reid, Henry Soloman "Sol" 144146230
b. Apr. 23, 1887 d. Dec. 14, 1966 is a duplicate

My Memorial created Feb. 8, 2011
Reid, Sol 65371275
b. Apr. 23, 1887 d. Dec. 14, 1966 is the original

The incorrect photo has been removed

The memorial is linked to
Margaret Jane Reid (1887 - 1943)

David B. Reid (1909 - 1943)*
Richard L Reid (1953 - 2014)*

This is the information that you provided.

If you look at Margaret's memorial she now has two husband's name Sol - because you created and linked a duplicate!

The name "Sol" is what appeared on the cemetery records when they were given to me to add. Find A Grave guidelines state the memorial should match the stone. It matched the information that was given at the time the memorial was created. If I change the name, DOB and DOD I am changing the memorial to a different person and I will be duplicating this memorial here:

Reid, Sollie 144200188
b. Jun. 29, 1912 d. Dec. 14, 1998

I contacted GraveMaven to remove the photo that she accidentally added which led to the improper links, both of which she has corrected. One nice little message and it was quickly addressed.

The only reason that it matters who created the links and added the photo is because if you didn't add them you can not delete them. Your SAC should refer to the person whose memorial it is, not the entire family history. It is convoluted and unnecessary.

What you asked for has been done. Please remove your duplicate memorial. Or if you prefer I can send it to Edit to remove.

Duplicates are never allowed and your duplicate should be removed. Again, as I attempted to explain, links need to be removed by the person who added them. In this instance this was not me. If you look at the link on the page I created, there is an asterisk next to the name. That indicates that it was not originated by the creator of the memorial, ie me. Also, if you look at the name under the photo, it was not added by me, hence it can not be removed by me.

Again, will you contact the contributor who added the links and the photo and ask for them to removed or shall I?

Oops I just realized that I did not add the links, the other contributor did and she most also remove them. Again, please let me know if you'd like me to contact her.

Hi - the info I added was dates only. The links were submitted by another contributor, quite possibly the person who also mistakenly added the incorrect photo. I have removed the links but the photo contributor needs to remove the photo. Would you like me to contact her? Thanks

Gianini, Pete
He and his wife are both buried there. The photo I have is not good due to the weather. Will post and go back after weather clears and repost.

RE: Julius Hiram Orcutt
As I see someone elses name below the picture I would be inclined to say that the person whose name is there would be the pirate. Sure any one can take a picture but only the person that took it would have the record of when pic was taken and be entitled to claim that pic. I have noticed that all of pics I personnaly took and uploaded have been pirated. Have since removed all that I have done.

Sounds like you are finding lots of great information. I transferred her site to you so you can add or make corrections as needed.
