Questions
George,

Thanks for the memorial transfer once more. Questions:

1.Do you think Joel Wafer and his wife are both buried at the Coats Cemetery?

2. Was Joel Wafer married twice, if so who was his first wife?

3. Would you like me to call the MEDALLION magazine for a free subsription to your house on Texas history?

I will be off two weeks starting Sunday if you need anything.

Thanks,
Doug

Request
Hey George,

I added our third great grandmother Elizabeth (Stephens-Tollett) Wafer, memorial # 90869688 to the Coats Cemetery near Point, Rains County, Texas. Can you add her as the mother of Mabry Wafer memorial # 32644658 or transfer him if you wish please?

I requested a photo of her headstone.

Much obliged,

Doug

Memorial #
On "family links" can you connect Charles Columbus Adams # 32645643 as the husband to Georgia Modena (Wafer) Adams # 32645603 please? And Mary Elizabeth (Bryant) Wafer # 33419132 as the mother to Georgia?

I cannot do it, only the one who manages the memorial can.

Thanks,
Doug Vail

Claudie Wafer
George,

Questions:

1.Did son of Thomas Joel and Mary Wafer die in 1920 or 1921?

This could have caused what was said on the death certificate and for the parents to flee Rains County because of feeling responsible. I found Claudie Wafer on the 1910 and 1920 census but that is it. I heard of my grandfather saying he played with a cousin named "Claud" Wafer as a child very close to the same age as Leo in Rains County who was born 1911.

2. Do you know where Claudie Wafer is buried?

Respectfully Yours,
Doug

RE: Joel Wafer and J.D. Rose ( later Wafer)
George,

Hello fourth cousin, I still have many more questions besides these, I will call via the telephone another time.

Here are some questions for now:

1. Were Francis Wafer and Thomas Wafer on the 1790 South Carolina census together the same age? Do you know the county name?

2. Was it your grandmother's grandmother on your mother's side that was buried alive?

3. Is your middle name Wendell, and what is your date of birth?

4. Just to make sure: Did you say that Thomas Joel Wafer and his wife hung themselves in different years? Do you know why?

5. Do you need another invite to my family tree on ancestry.com? It shows that the previous invitation it is still active.

I am off Friday April 13 to Sunday April 15. The weather should still be nice if you wish to come over in a few months.

Best Regards,
cousin Doug Vail

Joel Wafer and J.D. Rose ( later Wafer)
George,

Those mailings are truly a gold mine!

I remember corresponding with Grace Stone, Josephine Rhodes and talking to Great Aunt Madge in my younger days.

Do you know where J. D. Rose is buried?

Where do you think the picture of Joel Wafer is in Paris, TX ? His Burial ?

I would like to have that story you told me about the apparition you saw for my private archives.

We are very appreciative for all the valuable information.

Consanguineously yours,
Doug

Joel Wafer Picture
George,

Thanks for the information.

The telephone number for the Lamar County Genealogical Library is (903) 784-5020. They are open from 12noon to 4pm Monday-Friday. I briefly called the Paris Library and the number above about a picture of Joel Wafer to no avail. It was said it could be at the Paris Junior College. Maybe you could call with better details, if you wish.

Consanguineously yours,
Doug
