Bio

My Grandmother on my mother Betty Rollins' side, Ruth Hill Rollins, clipped and saved obituaries which have been invaluable in coming to know my ancestors. She also wrote out the family line of the Hills and Neers; names, birth and death dates which through research have proved to be accurate. Her husband, my grandfather Leamon Rollins, had his mother's family bible which contains his family's records.

My father William Henry and one of his first cousins, Mel Calihan, did extensive research on the Henry and Mellinger lines and as much of the McNallys from Ireland as they were able to and I have their notes and letters.

Both of my parents were interested in family history and passed that on to me. Now since their passing it has become even more important to me. They passed the torch. I only wish they were still here to see how much more I have been able to discover. I know they now know all these things, but I miss the joy we would have had here if we could have found and shared it together.

Family lines include Henry, Rollins, Hill, Mellinger, McNally, Neer, VanDyke, Dotson
