My biggest complaint on here is people who will not correct duplicate memorials or mistakes Or people who search for errors and act as if they are the Find A Grave Police. Really we are all human. Lets dont be so rude and maybe you might get the response you wanted along with the correction. And if I have family on here dont ask me for there memorial and when I dont turn it over they are my family too.Do not tell me what Find A Grave policy is I know it. You do not know my connection to the memorial so if I say it is family than so be it. If I took the picture created the memorial then I am keeping it. DO NOT SEND ME EMAILS DEMANDING TRANSFER |
I do not do Find a Grave for a numbers count. Do not imply that is what I do on my message wall ( and if the shoe fits wear it) I work very hard spend countless hours in hot humid cemeteries taking pictures to add on here so do not send me messages saying that is what I do. You have no idea what I do you are not me especially when you been a member for only a few weeks I have been on here 7 plus years and I take this very serious. I do not like this type of attitude and if you are going to be that way then maybe this is not a website for you. I try to ensure each person has a photo of their marker if there is one I will photograph it and add it to the site. I enjoy this very much however when people join and appointment themselves FAG police it upsets me very much. So unless you are on FAG payroll please find someone else to criticize.

Many thanks for the offer, but we'll have to pass on it. We will be there on July 1, but won't know for sure until we get there, and even then the time of day won't be known till the last minute.
Perhaps you could clarify your directions, though. I can see the cemetery clearly with an aerial view on Google maps. If I am standing in front of the cemetery facing it, there are 4 small driveways entering the cemetery. Let's number them #1, #2, #3 and #4, starting from the left. Which numbered driveway do I enter?
If I understand correctly, when I go down that driveway, I will see a large Oak tree on the right and it is the plot on the left right across from the tree, the 4th plot from the end.
With your help, I'm sure we'll find it.

The headstone photo you have added to this memorial, belongs to Franklin Monroe Martin, Memorial# 52392762. These are two separate men who died on the same day.

I think your directions will help a lot, especially when I find the big oak tree.
One question. You say to "go to the road that is closest to the mill". What mill are we talking about? I don't see any mill on Google maps.

Thanks a bunch, Kristen.
Do you happen to know if there is a Cemetery Association for Williamston Cemetery that might have Burial Records? Genealogy is my hobby.
I saw your photo in your FindAGrave bio. Go Tigers!
My wife has great-grandparents in Williamston Memorial Park by the name of John A Cobb and Dovie M Cobb. We plan to visit the site in late June of this year. Can you give me a clue as to how to find these grave sites, like NE corner, etc. There are 1486 internments and I'd hate to find them at the very end. I'm just trying to save time and be sure we are successful.
Thanks for all the great work you've done.

In requesting for transfers it was my understanding that the memorial would go to the grand children and great grand children if requested. Just because someone takes a picture with Find a Grave does not automatically make it their property. It was my understanding that everyone done this because it helped with locating ancestors, not so they could see how many they could accumulate. I was not being ugly I thought I asked in a manner appropriate and you responded with an UGLY message. I am also a Cooley Descent. Annie Prudence Cooley was my dad's grandmother and she raised him. I am doing the Chapman/Cooley for him not my self. There are also others like Kenneth Darby that is a descent of the Chapman's and Cooley's.
Hi. My daughter Kimberly is friends with your daughter. Kimberly said you wanted to add me. I added you as a friend. I haven't added much but if you have any questions please let me know.
|Sherrill Harvey||White Plains Church|
My husband is buried at White Plains Church but he is not showen on the list of persons buried there.
The name on the tombstone is Harvey "Mike" and he passed away April 5, 2007. All the persons around him are listed. Why is he left off the list?
