I will be the first one to go out of his way to help you out any way I can. I am more than happy to make additions, corrections or to transfer memorials to you providing it falls within the Find a Grave guidelines. It would really help if you would include your F.A.G # if you want someone transferred to you. Common courtesy would dictate that a "please" and a "Thank you" would be in order and much appreciated by myself. Treat me as you would like to be treated. I will work WITH you but I don't work FOR you. Ingratitude, rudeness as well as demands will put you at the bottom of my "To do" list.

Photo of Abe and Ray McKinley
Michael, I am the great, great granddaughter of Col. Abe Harris. I would so love to know where the photo of Abe and my uncle Ray came from. I have only recently begun research in order to qualify for the DAR. How would I go about getting a copy of that photo?

It is apparent that you have done some extensive research and for that I and my family are extremely grateful.

I look forward to hearing from you

Herbert Atkins.
I have submitted a number of edits requests for Herbert Atkins who is interred at the Old Mandurah Cemetery in West Australia.
I realise you're busy but would greatly appreciate if you can review and accept these edits. I thank you in advance for your time.

Thank you so much Michael, for taking the time to make this memorial for my grandmother. She was an amazing person.

She raised a child while going to law school at night in Chicago.

Later moved to El Paso, TX where she began to practice family law. She rose to local fame as a fierce competitor and an out spoken champion of women's, Jewish and poor rights. She served as a judge briefly as well as on the board of the college and many civic endeavors. She was even recognized for her work by the Texas Senate.

It's impossible to even scratch the surface of a such a full life in a paragraph.

All that and a doting grandmother. She never denied me anything that was good for me.

My grandfather passed away yesterday which sent me looking for her.

If you could see your way clear, I would love to have her memorial transferred to me, so I can continue your work. my FG# is

Thank you again. It means a lot to me that somebody cared to start this.

Archaeological Presentation about Wessyngton Plantation this weekend
Thought you might find this interesting . . .

"Enjoy a Free Saturday Event! Join Us Saturday, August 23, at 2 p.m. for an Archaeological Presentation about Wessyngton Plantation.

University of Tennessee archeologist Stephen Yerka will give a presentation on Saturday, August 23, at 2 p.m. about the ground penetrating radar survey conducted of the Wessyngton slave cemetery. Initial findings suggested that up to 200 burials were in the cemetery. Yerka will demonstrate how the equipment gathers data and generates maps of cemetery burials. He will also include data collected on other unmarked Middle Tennessee cemeteries.

No reservations are required, however seating is limited and is available on a first-come, first-served basis."
