Hello, I am just another genealogy gal that enjoys helping others when possible. |
If there is EVER any information I am wrong with, PLEASE email me and I will change it.
My main family lines are Tolbert and Cook with their many branches.
If you wish a memorial to be transferred to you, TELL ME HOW YOU ARE RELATED to the person and I will definately consider transferring it. Of course, it all depends on if/how I might be related also. Even if you are not related, I will consider transferring if they are not in my direct tree. Once I transfer, you may do as you wish with the memorial.
Many of the stones that I photograph are not related to me at all. I just try to add as many as I can for someone else to find their relatives on findagrave. So please ask for the transfers if you want them.

|Anna Selfridge||RE: Anna Suter|
Sorry, but this is not giving me enough of a link to know who we're talking about. I have one Anna Suter in my tree married to Solomon Baumgartner, but I don't know if that's who you mean or not. I know there were plenty of Anna Suters around. Could you give me a # or cemetery or something else to go by? Thanks.

Sorry just saw your post to me. Do you have any documents that prove Rebecca is James' daughter? I have James & Rachel Pitman married Aug 1797. And daughter Rebecca born in 1797.
|Viv Stewart||Pittman Family -Orange Co IN|
I have seen your name on Rootsweb and Find A Grave relating to the Pittman family.
Find A Grave Memorial# 15159142 = James Pittman Sr. Do you know James Pittman's family? Do you know if Rebecca Pitman/Pittman is James Pitman's daughter? Rebecca Pitman married William M Bennett.
|KMN||#19647896 Ovid McCracken - Need clarification to which person the "He" is referring.|
The source references Fort Knox Cemeteries by Sam McDowell - a source that needs to be purchased in order to decipher the information given and to get a complete source for the citation which I am not about to do. Quote of what is written on memorial #19647896: "Ovid's father was Cyrus who was born in Orange County, Ireland. ... HE ... was a Revolutionary War soldier and a cofounder [co-founder]of Leestown, Kentucky."
Very important to have clarified. To whom is the "He" referenced? Ovid or his possible father, Cyrus? The balance of what is said can alter the lineage of Cyrus, the father (first time seen as such), William, or Cyrus the son since there is conflicting information as to how the numerous equally named Mc Crackens line-up. A brother, Isaac appears to be lost altogether even though Find-a-grave has 4 others of like name with dates that do no coincide with Sam McDowell's info. Younger "named siblings" have a lapse of abt 21-32 years between their births and the births of William and Cyrus.
Hopefully the contributor of this sentence can provide exactly how the information was seen on the actual cemetery record.

|KMN||Conflicts: 117358995, 72011676, 107745788,19647896, and missing grave for Isaac McCracken|
I am not family ... but trying to correct my McCracken info that I was collecting for someone. I had William as the father of William, Isaac, Seneca and Ovid ... not Cyrus, AND I did not have a father for either William or Cyrus ... so I have lots to reprocess to see WHY I made that mistake and exactly how and where I got off track. Did something slip through without a source ... could be. I am most definitely not the one with full knowledge about this family. I need to un-link and link a few things before I have any semblance of order.
Since I am more than confused at the moment, I see the potential of making it worse, so I thought I should send a note to the creators of the 2 memorials regarding a potential conflict since 2 different men are referenced as being the person with 4 Nov 1782 death date at the same location. Not that it can't happen that both McCracken men died "equally" ... just that I'm not comfortable with it as is. I don't have the energy or time to deal with it right now. I need to correct and reprocess all that I already have.
Hope I haven't stirred-up a rats nest for the two of you. I am thankful for both of you for putting your work and efforts out there for others (me) to see. I may not have caught my mistake without all of your input and contributions. I surely do not want to put out information that sends others down the wrong path, so will take the time to figure out my "lineage" issues for the "boys". Collaboration is what it is all about, right.
I have a document with the McCracken memorials and additional info that relates - I won't be working on this but thought that those who have would want to see my concern. Wish I could send this to you along with the other 2 who have contributed. Even though I have put several items together for review, I can't attach to this public message. Just know that there are conflicts
