Bio and Links
Bio Photo I began a quest to find my roots.in 1988. When I began my quest, there were no documents that I could use to trace my ancestors. My parents were deceased as were most of my fathers siblings; the others were elderly and could not remember very much. My mother was adopted. The document that started me on my journey was my grandfather's social security application. It provided me with his place of birth, father's name and mother's maiden name.
In 2006 I found my great-great grandfather's grave. He is buried in the Birdsboro Cemetery aka St. Michael's Episcopal Cemetery in Birdsboro, Berks, PA. I made a promise to him that he and other Fairs would never be forgotten. Since that time, I have added many Fairs that were not listed in findagrave.
I am related to the Fairs in the following Pennsylvania counties: Armstrong, Allegheny, Beaver, Indiana, Bucks, Butler, Westmoreland, Mercer, Venango, Allegheny, Fayette, Lawrence, Montgomery, Clarion, Chester, Lancaster, Lebanon and Berks. Also the following states: Ohio, Indiana, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Florida, Georgia, Michigan, Nebraska, Colorado, California, Arizona, New Mexico, New Jersey, New York, Texas, Virginia, West Virginia and Oklahoma. We are descendants of Johannes Fahr/ John Fair b.1730 in Germany, d.1808 Berks County PA. I would like to meet relatives from those aforementioned counties and states.

If anyone wishes a memorial transfer, just let me know. I will be more than happy to make the transfer. The exception being anyone with whom I am related. Please use the edit button on the top of the memorial to send me your request. I would be very interested in how you are related to the person in question. That information is optional of course. I will still make the transfer. Reuniting people with their loved ones means more to me than the quest to have the most memorials added.

Poor is the nation that has no heroes. Shameful is the nation that has heroes...and forgets them. You are not forgotten.

John Wesley Geiger
Hello, I am researching John Wesley Geiger whose findagrave memorial you created. I was wondering how you came to find that he was a Lieutenant? This particular John Wesley Geiger was mustered in and out as a private. Originally 32nd PA which became 99th PA, transferred to the 26th Pa and then back to the 99th PA. He was never an officer according to our records. This is a mistaken identity confused with the Lieutenant John Wesley Geiger of the 46th PA. I believe them to be cousins. Most individuals have this information grossly confused. I would be very interested in discussing further.

Samuel James Fair Memorial# 89431088
I am looking for the burial of his wife Lucy Altha Denton Fair. Several Trees on Ancestry have her death as 14 April 1960 in Muskogee, OK but she is not listed on Find A Grave.
There is not a photo of a stone for him either. Could she also be buried in this cemetery?

I am distantly related to her.

Fair/Craig Photos
I have come across Family photos from the Alexander and Nancy(Fair) Craig residence which was located near Wattersonville, PA. This photos were located in the attic. Probably 300 photos in all and of various family members in this line.
