Bio and Links
Bio Photo In the last few years, I have been creating memorials for my family, as I discover where they are buried. This is still an on going project.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Find a Grave has implemented a new way to submit Edits! Unfortunately, there are far too many members for Find a Grave to notify everyone via email, so it's up to us to get the word out. If every member posts this message (or similar) in their profile, hopefully we can help spread the word.
To suggest a correction (SAC) click on the edit tab of the memorial that needs to be corrected. Then click on the link which best describes where your edit should occur. Enter your correction, when you're done, click submit edit. Your request will be sent to the manager of the memorial and will appear in the managers' profile under the Edits tab.
Managers will no longer receive emails. They must go directly to their profile page and click on the Edits tab. Managers can approve, deny or ignore, suggested corrections. It's quick and easy!
The exception:
Requesting a transfer other corrections are still handled the same way. Click on "suggest any other correction or addition," type your message and press "send this message." The manager of the memorial will receive an email.
Recently (Aug 2011), I transcribed The Bay City IOOF Cemetery. I have created a spreadsheet of this Cemetery, taken photos of all of the headstones and put this information on FindaGrave. I have tried to research something about the person and link them with their family members.
I have completed photographing all of the headstones at the Fairview Pioneer Cemetery. I have also received from the Tillamook Pioneer Museum a listing of all of the graves that are in This Cemetery, along with a map. It is quite a small cemetery and it is quite overgrown, there are not many headstones left that are readable.
My next goal is to transcribe the cemetery at the Sunset Heights Memorial Gardens. Thank you to everyone who helps me out on this journey.
George Washington Kearns
There are two more Kearns in Granite Hill - Loretta and William Willard. If interested, let me know and I'll give you the info I have. Don't know the gravesite of William, but he could be in the same area as GW and Loretta.
RE: James M. Coburn
I do not accept Family Trees that have no source information. Therefore, I will not insert the exact date of birth without a primary source.
However, I will change the year of birth to 1830 based on the information in his obituary. Be aware that according to the 1860 census he was born about 1832 and according to the 1870 census he was born about 1831.
I was unable to find him in the District of Columbia Deaths and Burials, 1840-1964 to determine which year of birth was reported. His name must be indexed incorrectly.
RE: Kyle Leonard
Until Alexander's memorial is fixed, I will leave them unlinked. His memorial says that he died in 1902.
Let me know if, and when, that info is corrected. Otherwise, I will probably get another message that says "Alexander Leonard cannot be Kyle's father because . . . " etc.
Kyle Leonard
The links you sent to me in 2013 turned out to be wrong, so I have removed them, as well as the bio information. Someone pointed out to me that Kyle (b. 1907) was linked to a person (Alexander Leonard) who died in 1902.
Please check your info before asking for links! I didn't notice the dates when I got your request, I just linked them, assuming that you had done the research.
Best regards,
B.J.
