Two of my favorite hobbies are computers and genealogy and they seem to work hand in hand together. I am interested in Greek Genealogy and have family from Spetses Greece as well as Sparta. |
I enjoy cats and photography; I especially enjoy taking candid photos of animals. I am also looking for help in collecting photos of headstones of individuals with a Greek Heritage.
I am also an editor for the site Greeks in the Western US, which can be found on Familysearch and Ancestry.com. We are attempting to collect the genealogies of those families who immigrated to the USA. If you find your family is not listed and would like it added, please contact me.
Thanks to all those who have stopped by my family's sites, but especially my mother's Athena Spetsas. Another of my interests is the Stevens side of my family, which is my fathers side and they settled in Henefer, Utah.
Just a side note, emails are welcome, but if don't want a response to your email, do not leave me a message.

I think our best bet for identifying these old photo's is on the FB page as we are doing? I didn't personally know the Lauris', although my dad went to school with Gus, and I think maybe another son.
I noticed you mentioned Quackenbush to a message to Mr. Cheesman. There are quite a few Quackenbush located in central NJ.

Hi Dawna, I'm new to this so forgive me if I've got the wrong end of the stick here; however, I noticed a "photo request" for the above-named from the Portsmouth Naval Memorial in England. I will shortly be going there to pay my respects to a war hero who is also named on the memorial and I would be more than happy to photograph and forward to you the inscription for Thomas Gritton if that's what is required.
Let me know (firstname.lastname@example.org).

Hi Dawna, I think maybe you should ask Marsha Lindgren, since she submitted the picture, and manages his memorial. If it were up to me, I'd say go right ahead. I sponsored his memorial, because he sounds like a wonderful man, and I wanted to honor him. You're fortunate to be related to him. Warm Regards, Edith

I have an Uncle Mike Berry from Medway Maine. I dont know if this is the same Mike Berry you are refering to but you can give him my contact info.
|Grave Maven||Greeks in Utah|
I have long been interested in the fact that so many Greeks ended up in Utah. My Greek grandparents owned an Italian grocery in Brooklyn, New York. I have found that my grandmother's BERBILIS/BIRBILIS brothers (and maybe cousins) eventually traveled to Utah, marrying LDS ladies. Could you suggest any books or information regarding this issue? You can email me direct.

I'm not sure if you are the one that requested a photo back in 2009 for Bertie Brown, Find A Grave Memorial# 29164045. I note you left flowers that year; anyway, I found Bertie's grave marker and added photos.
