Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi,
Find A Grave has helped me so much that I have tried to pay it back by adding several hundred non family. If you see any errors please do contact me. Let me know if you want family transferred. If I am not related I most generally transfer.

Death certificates or printed obituaries not appreciated on a memorial. They are seldom 100 per cent correct and Find A Grave does not encourage them. Ancestry is one place to leave them.

Per the Find a Grave guidelines, please do not leave biographical information on a virtual flower. It will be reported and removed. If you have a correction, send an edit.

If you ask me to add or change any information on someone, please make sure you have documentation and not just something you saw someone put on the internet. I often get incorrect change requests.

In a letter from Find A Grave Management they stated "It is up to the originating member what
they include as long as you make sure that the names, birth and death dates/years are included in the fields available on the memorial page"

I work on all my family lines. The ones I work on the hardest seem to be Allenbaugh/Allumbaugh, Barker, Lee, Lyle, Thompson, Rackleff/Rackliff, Symons.

Thank you. Donna A

I love genealogy and was so thrill to get to do this research. Unfortunately those who knew the important things about our family had passed before I got interested and it made it difficult to find a lot of answers. I searched for 14 years for a map of the cemetery so that I could properly put everything in its right place but no one seemed to know where to find one even though the local school would take its students to the cemetery and the teacher would make them map it!!!
Any who, like I said, anything I can help with - I will do!!!

Always yours
David Jones

RE: Transfer
This actually was a cemetery stone but because of age, time and the fact that it was mowed over several times it now only looks like a field stone. I noticed the edges had broken off. I do not know if you could find this now because after we sold the property no one has kept the cemetery up. When we moved to the area and was clearing our property we found the cemetery and cleared it off - finding over 86 graves so I began researching the history of those people and found that a lot of the locals were family but no one had time to keep it up. I tried for 12 years but after we moved it has been taken back over by nature as far as I could tell. Anyway - if you have any other family links that you would like transferred - I will gladly give them to you.

RE: Lee family
Yes, I'm related to some of the Lees, but I've also done a bit of work with one line that does not appear to be related. What time period and geographic area are you currently researching?

RE: Lee family
Hi, I am directly related to Joseph Lee, Memorial 38837554. I think that the flowers that I've left of late may be related Lees, but I'm uncertain on a few. Are you on Ancestry as well? Which Lee are you needing help with?

RE: Transfers

I'm glad to hear that you'll be doing some updating to their memorials, that's plenty enough for me, I want everyone to have as much information as can be on their memorials.

Have a great day!

Alumbaugh Line
I a trying to follow up on who the parents of Jane Alumbaugh (1817-1896) and her husband Joel Walker Hart (1817-1881)are. This is my wife's line and we are stuck at Joel and Jane. I know they are buried there at Hart cemetery but they appear to be the first ones there.

thanks for any help.

Belva B. Henry Alumbaugh
We might be relates. Belva is my 3rd cousin, 1 x removed - through the Henry family.
I saw her name in her brother, Wayne's obituary as Blanche Allenbaugh. So glad to locate her. Her parents are George Franklin Henry (#: 7616905) and Altha Dee McPeak Henry (#: 7616907). I am related back through the McPeak line.
Will share information.

Donna, thank you so for including information on Patrick Gilmartin. Because of his military career his mother was continually worried for his safety. She was not informed of his death for several years.

RE: Transfer
My pleasure! There are lots of Rackliff's in this neck of the woods. Even an island named after the family. Let me know if you need any other photos or anything looked up locally. I'm in Maine for another 2 weeks.

All the best,

RE: Photo
You're welcome Donna. I also created a memorial for Frederick. His name and dates are on the other side of the stone. I could be just the way the stone weathered, but I was thinking that perhaps the dates were added long after. There is an inscription on the bottom of the stone and when I have more time I will go back and see if I can transcribe it. As you observed, it is very weathered and will soon be lost to time.
