Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been working on genealogy for about 25 years. I just found out about Find A Grave a few months ago. What a handy tool this is. I enjoy going around to different cemeteries looking at all the old headstones, and taking pictures for people who might not every see the headstonesof there ancestors if someone didn't take pictures for them.

If anyone finds an error, please let me know and I will correct it. Also anyone who would like to add something, I can also do that for you.

For over 15 years I have been seriously researching my Gibbons family, with a beginning origin in South Carolina (Joseph Franklin Gibbons 1839 and still searching for information prior to that), also researching the Paris family (Rhoda Catherine Paris) from Spartanburg, South Carolina and the Giles families from that area.

From there the search has taken me into Harlan and Bell Counties in Kentucky, and surrounding counties in VA & TN, later on to Rockcastle and Lincoln Counties in KY also. In KY families that connect with our Gibbons are: Fee's, Green, Burkhart, Hensley, Wynn, Wilson and more.

My grandfather Andrew Jackson Gibbons was born in SC, was raised and married Margaret Fee in Harlan County KY. They raised their family in Lee Co. VA. Andrew Jackson Gibbons brothers are, James Giles, John Giles, Spurgeon Gibbons, Willie Gibbons, Campbell Gibbons, Frank Gibbons II and Nathan Gibbons. No known sisters.

If anyone has information of any of these families I would be very appreciative of anything you are willing to share.

I am also working on a register for Rose Hill Cemetery in Robinson, Kansas.

Find A Grave Memorial# 20212330
Vernon, if you happen to go back out to this cemetery would you confirm whether the date is 1838 or 1858?

Thank You, Debbie

RE: Monroe and Louisa Eyler
My ancestors spelled their name "Eylar," but I have seen is spelled various ways. According to the Denton roles there seems to be a few Eylars there, to include my ancestor James Monroe Eylars brother, Aaron Randolph Eylar.

RE: Last Name
The rule says:
How do I enter all married names for a woman's memorial when she was married more than once?
Include other married names as part of the biography section.

RE: Last Name
No, that is not correct. The rule says that only the final married name goes in the last name box, all previous married names go in the bio.

Roberta (Jackson) Bean memorial
Hello, Looks as thought the memorial you have created for Roberta (Jackson) Bean is a duplicate of memorial # 168569712. Could you please correct this. Thank you.

RE: Mooe and Louisa Eyler
I had made a mistake, I had thought they were buried in the Miller Cemetery, apparently they are located in the Denton Cemetery. Most of my relatives are in either cemetery there, so I guess it is easy to get them a bit mixed up.

Eylars in Miller Cemetery, Everest
Hi Vernon, are you aware of any Eylars that are buried in the Miller Cemetery in Everest, KS? I have two ancestors James Monroe Eylar and his wife Louisa Belle Sample Eylar, who died in that area and I couldn't imagine they aren't buried nearby.
