|Bio and Links|
I am a 'farm girl' who grew up in Iowa. I still live in Iowa, just not on the farm!|
I am trying to leave a legacy on Find a Grave for my children and grandchildren, and for others as well, by making family stories and links.
I found my great grandmother's headstone on Find a Grave quite by accident and have been hooked on this site ever since.
I enjoy helping others find relatives' and friends' resting places. I have posted many memorials and photos from various cemeteries so others can gather data.
I create memorials with dignity and respect for those who have passed. I will remove a memorial if it is too sensitive for you, and I will remove photos you do not want on a memorial.
I am not interested in amassing large numbers of memorials. I am interested in contributing data and connecting family members.
Forgive me for not yet having all burial locations identified...it takes time to research. Also, some mortuaries do not list burial or disposition details in their obituaries, so there exists some unknowns.
I do transfer memorials if you have information to add, unless it is for my relative.
I often try to add information and family links by researching a family. This takes time, so some memorials I've created do not contain a bio.
Please let me know if there is an error so it can be corrected. I want to have true and appropriate information.
I usually make edit requests the same day.
I appreciate knowing about added posts to my memorials such as photos or obituary clippings that would help me link family members.
I am happy to share photos with you to use in your family albums. Feel free to contact me.

Thank your for your professional support to Find a Grave. My Grandmother, Lulu Maude Akin Miller who married John Bickley Adams is the daughter of my Great Grandparents George Washington Miller and Maude Akin-Miller from Clarksville, IA and buried @ Lynwood Cemetery in Clarksville. George was born in Evansville, IL and Maude in Warren, OH. I have a original copy of George and Maude Miller's wedding announcement for their daughter, Lulu in Dexter, MN where Lulu taught school, some 88 miles true north of Clarksville. It is said that George W. M., by family members information passed down through generations, that he was an illegitimate son of a wealthy Aunt Mac Feem and adopted by the Miller family.
I retired (2011) as a Sergeant Major, specializing in military intelligence, researching, collecting and analyzing information and now using my skills to collect family history information on both sides of my family to include my wife's.
I don't know if the following source provides that information, since I used up my free time on Ancestry.com but records show who Lulu Maude Akin Miller's parents are. I have family photos of my grand parents but none for my great grand parents.
John Bickley & Lulu Maude Akin Obituaries; http://www.findagrave.com/cgi-bin/fg.cgi?page=gr&GRid=90615746
Thank you for questioning my information and making sure that erroneous information is not added. It is much appreciated as I would do the same.
Please transfer George W. Miller and Maude Akin Miller files over to me.
Once again, thank you for what you do.

Thank you, Marilyn, for all of your nice words. You are too kind. I sincerely hope you enjoy the remainder of your trip and make it back home safely. There's no place like home (so I've heard). lol

I'm glad you enjoyed your trip back East. Pennsylvania is a large state and I don't know much about it myself though I live here. lol I'm a big fan of southeastern VA where my mom grew up. It is beautiful there in the mountains. I also enjoy NC a lot. Have a safe trip and enjoy yourself. Btw, what part of VA are you in now?

I posted a cropped picture to Elizabeth's memorial as requested. I can also email you the original if you would like to have it.

I don't believe she's still living. She would be over 100 years old. Wonder where we could check ?
|Rich Kreiss||RE: Just 4 U|
Yes, I have a hunch why you are so sweet and charming to me. Enjoy the transfer!

It was truly amazing that we connected as much as we did and in such diverse places, it would have been easier to win the lottery than to have your generous actions happen so quickly in different states.... my gosh, who knew. Thank you again and thanks for posting this memorial photograph!
