Friends, do to personal issues, I have backed off from Find A Grave. After 7 years am just tired and want to spend more time on my personal family tree. Will keep up with edits (and bless those who send them), and work steadily to add the more than 3,000 photo's I'm behind with. But I'm finding it harder to do complicated edits. They are being put aside. I know or are related to less than 5% of the memorials I have created. Am trying to get the information from these memorials included in my Family tree.
Thank you for your help. I'll be back.

The life of a person is more than the dash between two dates. It is my hope that the memorials which I create or manage can make the individuals life fuller, even if just linking to family members or adding a few tidbits of information. Researching and including other family information makes them more than graves, they are people. Suggestions are welcome but please submit them using the edit button at the upper right corner of each memorial.
Even when transcribing cemeteries I work hard to link other family members.
I live in the northwestern mountains of North Carolina and have work primarily in cemeteries there. My current focus is Carolina Memorial Park in Concord, North Carolina. There are 28,000 graves but only about 9,000 listed. I've done more than 4,000 of those. Much of my family is buried there.

My family can be traced back 46 generations to County Leichester, England. The family is English/Norman. They came to England with William after the Battle of Hastings in 1066. The photo above is my ancestor, Sir Nicholas Purefoy, buried in The Church of St. Michael and all Angels in Fenny Drayton, Co. Leicestershire, England. The spelling of my name is the most rare of the three family groups: Purefoy, Purifoy and Peurifoy. The early Purefoys were in Jamestown, VA long before the Hugonaut movement.
On my paternal side I am interested in the Peurifoy, Purifoy, Purefoy, Scott and Suther families.
For my maternal side are Statons, Stiller's,and Moores (from Stanly Co, NC).
My wife is from the Byrd and Carr families of Duplin County, NC.
You are invited to visit the memorials of my grandmother Lillian Scott Peurifoy, my mother
Hazel Staton Peurifoy
and Father Robert Eugene Peurifoy.

Photos of graves are free to use. However, personal photos of individuals are copyrighted by this writer and can only be used on other sites by written request via email (not "public messages on my personal page) and acknowledgement of original owner of the photograph.

Thanks to all who help with my typo, mistakes and incorrect links. I could not accomplish this without your help.

Proud member of the Patriot Guard Riders.

Ok changed the burial location to UnKnown hope that is what you are asking. Let me know if that will do. My purpose of the burial place was to show the children of my family,s (location) and yes it turned out to be named that way, I really didn't know wht (unknown)would do if I checked it and how it would reflect so I chose a name, but it is a actual place to where they were buried just no body except my mother knows about it now. She mentioned that my grandfather buried them in the back yard of the home they were living in on Depot Street At that time on a red clay hill as to were the home is now or that hill we don't know but she showed me a area that she said (she thought ) was it. So to keep the location known to folks I named it (Home on depot Street) just my thinking I guess ,but thanks for the insight and concern just wondering as to why you were looking at the members of my family or the place I named. (?)

Rovenskys in Cedar Grove
Hi Robert-I had taken photos of the Mae Cadwell Rovensky crypt, but my photos didn't come out very well. The reason is, I can't take a photo thru the glass door. I've asked permission to have someone unlock the door so I can get in, and they flatly refused, unless I was a member of the family. I can send you what I have, just let me know. Irma
