|Janet Moore||worn grave stones|
Thanks for post all this information. I had asked so many times and could find no one who knew anything about ancestors. I wanted to suggest that when a stone is so worn it is difficult to read, you can sometimes do a rub and get the information. You hold a paper on it and lightly rub with the side of a crayon. Hope it helps. I am the granddaughter of Lydia Quick Holmes. Are we cousins?

She and Henry had 6 children ... William Henry Holmes, Bernice(uncle Bun), Ernest(uncle Bud), Elizabeth (aunt Lib), Beulah,and Gladys.
My Grandpa William Henry Holmes is past, but I don't have dates.

She is my Great Grandma. Her son William Henry Holmes is my Grandpa and his daughter Janet Marie Holmes Moore is my mom. I think this makes us cousins?

I appreciate the transfers and the passion you have for your family. My main reason for joining Find A Grave is to link as many of these families as I can. I have already linked several of the Tidwell's and their lines. You would be amazed at all the people that live in my area that are your kin too. I live on the north end of Sand Mountain. Between 1900 and 1930 large numbers of families moved here from Randolph, Clay and Tallapoosa for good cheap farm land. My mother's family came in 1909 and my father's in 1919. My wife's family, Laney, Duke, Morrisson, Taylor, Graben and many more all came in that timeline from there. If you look at the census for this area you would find many of the same names as you would in and around Wadley. I know a lot about the people in this area, especially Jackson Co, and I am hoping to share as much of it as time permits. Thank you again, Sir. I will keep in touch.

I really appreciate the transfers of Henry and Susanah especially since it wasn't required by findagrave guidelines. I sent you an email at the same time I asked for the transfers. I will send you another. I would love to see your documentation of Antioch.

It's done. It will be easier for you to edit the info on her memorial so I won't bother with submitting edits. I sent a email to the hospital several years ago to see if she was buried in the hospital cemetery. They have burial records but they never responded. Maybe you can figure out something. I will email you soon so you can have my address. I am trying to get the rest of her siblings added.

I too have found that me and my wife are kin to practically everyone in that area as both our families came from there. My father grew up in his grandmother Tabitha Tidwell's house. At this time I am more interested in correcting some mistakes concerning our families. However if I could take a raincheck I may want to take a look at what you have later. We too have a private tree on ancestry. We had intended on writing a book. In my wife's latter days she told me I should share, not to let it die with us, that our book wasn't our legacy, our children were. Years ago me and my wife relied heavily on your and others contributions to genweb in our research and would like to thank you.
On another note I have the death certicate for Clementine Hodge. I noticed you posted Joe's. I can post hers if you want me to. However it does not state where she was buried but has date and location of death. I won't without your permission.
