Hi. My name is Elaine White. My Husband is a 4th great grandson of John Benningfield (1782-1958). I was updating our ancestry page on him, and came across his memorial on Find-A-Grave. I am also a volunteer for this great website, and saw the flowers you have posted there, and thought I'd send a 'hello' your way. This is how we are related. John Benningfield - Morenda Benningfield - Margaret Caulk - John Wesley White - Clarence White - Clyde White - Eric White. Have a Happy Thanksgiving, Elaine.

I am the daughter of Roosevelt Whited Merrimac Ky. I have several deeds and two land grant certificates 1850's to Joel. I also have a Harmon deed and would like to give them to a relative. If you know any of these descendants. Thank you. Mary Rowe
Thanks John for responding back.I live in Adair County I have all my life.I have a marriage certificate on my grandparents. It has it as B.L. Harmon, married Vonnie Alley, license was issued on September 16,1919 in Adair Co.It gave his parent's names,Ben Harmon and Massie Harmon. It says his place of birth (my grandfather was in Adair County,Ky.I don't even know if Ben even had any siblings.I have not been able to find a connection with my Grandfather with any other Harmon's in Adair County.I am pretty sure his full name was Benjamin Louis Harmon and went by the name Ben.I would like to know where my Harmon line originated from. Thanks and God Bless.

Sorry it's taking me so long to get back to you (February)! You sent me some information on William David Harmon 1876-1950 and since he's your family, I just did a transfer of his findagrave entry to you. I'm actually tracing the Gunter's. My GGG Grandmother I believe was Violett Gunter who was born abt 1817 in Washington Co., KY and died between 1850-1860 in Marion County, KY. She married Nathaniel Taylor, who I think died before her...I just can't seem to prove it yet. I'm researching all the Gunter's. I don't know which line of Gunter's she came from. Happy Hunting! ~ Shelly
My Great grandpa was Ben L. Harmon. Do you know who his mother and father are. My Grandpa is buried at the foot of his mom and dad,Henry Otto Harmon.I know his mom died when he was a teenager and his dad got married again. But any information
would be great. Thanks so much. Carol Weddle
