My name is Maria, but for lots of reasons, people call me "E" and I love cemeteries. As a kid I remember visiting cemeteries and feeling so at peace and comfortable, only a few select friends knew about this, I didn't want anyone to think I was weird, ha!
I found Findagrave.com while helping my friend with her family tree and became interested in geneology. I began my familiy tree and I hope that my contribution to this website will help others in their endeavor in searching for the branches of their own tree.
I love the tranquility, the connection to the past, the beauty, the thrill of the hunt (when searching for famous people or when searching for a special request) found in cemeteries.

Maria.... E.... Thank you for the pic of the Oahu Cemetery for Gary Easterwood. Gary was one of my roomates during the late 1980's. He, unfortunately, and to my great distress, evidently committed suicide (w/ pills and booze, etc) while I and our other roomate were gone to the mainland for Christmas/NY's...etc. His ashes were scattered at sea, but, I wasn't able to attend his ceremony becos I was still back on the mainland and no $ to change my flight back to Honolulu. Gary was a wonderful person, and should be remembered with a lot of respect and smiles, despite the woulda shoulda coulda.... I will always miss him. He was a good friend. Thank you again.  | Joe Arroyo - Famous Colombian Salsero
Hi Maria:
I'm sorry I should had informed you earlier about the recent death of famed salsero from Colombia, Joe Arroyo. He died in after spending nearly a month in a Barranquilla hospital due to multiorgan failure. He was 55. His hits included "Rebeliňn-No Le Pegue A La Negra", "En Barranquilla Me Quedo", "La Tortuga", ""A Mi Dios Todo Le Debo" & others. He had issues with drug abuse which contributed to his health and force him to cancel his performances. In his final moments his health took a tool for the worse. He is survived by his wife,
Jakelin Ramon . He was previosuly to Mary Luz Alonso.
