Bio Photo Still living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where most of my ancestors have lived. My passion for genealogy drives me to help others find their roots. Please feel free to contact me whether family or genealogy searcher.
In 2007 when searching for Kocinski headstones, I decided to document old cemeteries on the South Side of Pittsburgh. Below are the current list of cemeteries I have completely documented.
-----------------------------------------
St. Adalbert's Cemetery on Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, Carrick, Pennsylvania started May 2007 and finished November 2007.
--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Adalbert's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after May 2007, may not be listed.
-----------------------------------------
St Josephat's Cemetery on Glass Run Road, Pittsburgh (Baldwin), Pennsylvania started April 2009 and finished May 2009.
--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Josephat's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after April 2009 may not be listed.
-----------------------------------------
Loretto Cemetery on Devlin Street, Pittsburgh, South Side, Pennsylvania started in May 2009 and finished August 2009.

Story from contributor Phyllis Seaman-Eckert about her aunt who died at age 2 and burial location:
There are graves down over the hill at the 1st part of the circle. Apparently, many children were buried down there. In fact, we were always able to locate her grave because it was near a rather large above-ground structure for a Spanish or Mexican child.

--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Josephat's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after August 2009 may not be listed.
-----------------------------------------
St Peter's Cemetery on Arlington Avenue, Pittsburgh, Mt Oliver, Pennsylvania started in August 2009 and finished September 2009.

--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Peter's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after September 2009 may not be listed.
------------------------------------------
St Michael's Cemetery on 18th Street, Pittsburgh, South Side Pennsylvania started in September 2009 and not finished

Weiland marker at St. Michael's
I have spoken with the cemetery office and was given a different lot/row/section number for this grave and was assured this is correct. Since the Weiland's are my spouse's grandparents, I was wondering if you would allow the family to assume control of the sites of Adolph and Christine Weiland along with their daughter Hilda? Thanks for all of your hard work and if it were not for your work, we would not have known where they were buried to begin with. Your efforts are greatly appreciated. J. Haight, dgtr-in-law of Hedwig, dgtr of Adolph and Christine.

RE: First Names of Sisters
You have a point, since about 95% of the Sisters use Mary as their first name. To differentiate between them, a person will need to include the middle name. At least now it will be consistent. More than half the Sisters already listed Mary as the first name, with the second name listed as either the middle name or the nickname, so you had to guess what to enter.

Nicolaus Winter
Thanks you for making the changes I suggested for Nicolaus Winter's memorial. :-) I have deleted my duplicate. Deb

RE: Dolores Lally
I sent the edits to the original submitter. The original memorial also had an incomplete name - no wonder you never noticed that memorial. Thanks for all your work creating memorials for this cemetery.

Nunemakers in Starr Cemetery
If the Nunemakers are not your family, can you transfer them to me? They are my family. Adaline and George. My # is 47125334. Thank you.

Good Question
Yes, they'd be listed by their birth names on the Censuses but then with their religious names on later Censuses. I kind of lean to using their religious names with their given name in parenthesis. Maybe I'll ask that question of Family Tree and see what they say.

Also, I'm going to continue to look for a death notice for Sr. Clarella. Right now, all I have is the info for Sr. Apollonia, so please remove hers from Sr. Clarella's memorial! It's kind of confusing. Thanks a lot!

Transfer please
Hi and thanks for editing my grandmother's page yesterday. My family is wondering if you'd be willing to transfer her page and my grandfather's page over to me.

RE: Samuel Merriman
Roseanne, I did use the edit tabs, on both of the memorials...but there is no way to delete a link other than to explain it, so I used "other" under the edit tabs. Basically the links currently show two sons named Samuel, an older one and a much younger one, the will verifies the older son Samuel, and it was written right before his death, he does not name a second son Samuel in the will, so it is the link to the younger son Samuel I cannot verify, which should be deleted, the younger Samuel had to be the son of someone else...again sorry for the confusion, I have been years trying to sort out the various parts of this family, the reuse of first names is way above average with them.

Fisher Memorials - St Augustine Cemetery
If you have no family connection to the following memorials, would you please transfer them to me? Thank you.
Mathilda Hildenbrandt Fisher #58084387 (my 2x great grandmother)
Francis A. Fisher #58084329 (my 2x great grandfather)
Margaret Fisher Christman #58084007 (my 2x great aunt)
Walter Francis Fisher #58114625 (my 2x great uncle)
Do you recall, or do your records show how you obtained information for Mathilda and Francis A above? When I visited the cemetery several years ago, I found no headstones for either person.
