Bio Photo Still living in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where most of my ancestors have lived. My passion for genealogy drives me to help others find their roots. Please feel free to contact me whether family or genealogy searcher.
In 2007 when searching for Kocinski headstones, I decided to document old cemeteries on the South Side of Pittsburgh. Below are the current list of cemeteries I have completely documented.
St. Adalbert's Cemetery on Brownsville Road, Pittsburgh, Carrick, Pennsylvania started May 2007 and finished November 2007.
--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Adalbert's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after May 2007, may not be listed.
St Josephat's Cemetery on Glass Run Road, Pittsburgh (Baldwin), Pennsylvania started April 2009 and finished May 2009.
--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Josephat's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after April 2009 may not be listed.
Loretto Cemetery on Devlin Street, Pittsburgh, South Side, Pennsylvania started in May 2009 and finished August 2009.

Story from contributor Phyllis Seaman-Eckert about her aunt who died at age 2 and burial location:
There are graves down over the hill at the 1st part of the circle. Apparently, many children were buried down there. In fact, we were always able to locate her grave because it was near a rather large above-ground structure for a Spanish or Mexican child.

--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Josephat's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after August 2009 may not be listed.
St Peter's Cemetery on Arlington Avenue, Pittsburgh, Mt Oliver, Pennsylvania started in August 2009 and finished September 2009.

--Maps of my 'descriptive' location within the cemetery is included as one of the photo on St Peter's Cemetery main page.
--Deaths after September 2009 may not be listed.
St Michael's Cemetery on 18th Street, Pittsburgh, South Side Pennsylvania started in September 2009 and not finished

Hi Roseanne - I'm checking them on The information is coming either from the actual death cert or the SSI. If I can't find definite proof of something then I won't send it to you to update. For the relationship, I'm sometimes checking the census around the time. 😀 I love doing research!

RE: Thomas Stephenson
You stated: "I do not understand with your statement about his daughter. Your memorial page is missing the photo that is posted to the first original memorial page..."

Ok - yes you are missing something. I will explain this again. The page that has the picture of grave posted and you have linked as a wife IS NOT HIS WIFE. It is HIS DAUGHTER. The death date posted on HIS Daughter's page is not correct as you can see in the bio(it says 186? and on the picture of the tombstone that the daughter died in the 1860s. The mother died in 1872 as cemetery records show. Since the daughter and wife have the same name someone mixed up their death records and at some point updated the daughter's death year on her findagrave page with the mother's death year. I do not create duplicate pages. I created a page for the mother/wife who did not have a page based on cemetery records. I submitted to you to unlink the daughter as a wife. The daughter also has an incorrect death date posted as it is again his daughter not his wife. The tombstone posted on the page will drive whose page it is. I submitted a corrected death date to the daughter's page when I submitted the correction to you for the spouse link. Now I am waiting on you both to correct an inaccurate spouse link and death year that is posted.

Hope this clears it up for you.

I'm have no idea, Roseanne. I was re-reading what I had written, and based on further research and reflection, I saw that I had most likely made an error when I wrote the earlier material.

What options are there?

Transferring 3 records
Hello. I was hoping to have you transfer these records to me - 52099627, 52099686, 49706449. They are my great-grandparents and great uncle, I was finally able to add their daughter(my grandmother) to Find A Grave. Thank you.

RE: Anna Bachert
Thanks so much - you're amazing! I've visiting the cemeteries where my relatives are buried few times, but I live in Mercer, PA, so I don't get there often, and hadn't seen these before.

I take photos and add them when I can, but don't get out often.

Again, thank you.

Find A Grave listing of Robert Roberts Matthews in Homewood Cemetery, Pittsburgh
Hi Roseanne,

Thank you for creating a post on Find A Grave for Robert Roberts Matthews, my brother-in-law’s 3rd great-grandfather and Civil War veteran who is buried in Pittsburgh’s Homewood Cemetery. I have a question about his middle name. Some city directories, and also his Civil War Pension papers list his middle initial as R., but I never knew what the R. stood for. What is your source of information for the middle name being Roberts? I would love to make note of it in my genealogy database.

Again, thank you so much for taking the time to put his post online.

Kind Regards,
~Leann Clark Carroll

RE: Caroline Pflug
Thank you. You are right. I will add the photo to the Caroline's page that is listed and ask the owner to edit the burial location and dates that were different. My apologies. I wasn't trying to be presumptuous. I was just really excited to have found the stone. Thank you for your help.

Henry and Caroline Pflug
Hello, I just added a photo of the stone for Henry Pflug to your memorial page at North Sewickly Presbyterian Cemetery in Beaver County, PA. I noticed on your memorial for Henry that you have a Caroline listed as a wife who is buried at a different cemetery. If you see the photo I added for Henry, you will see that Caroline, his wife, is listed as buried with the same stone at him at at the same cemetery. I think there is an error in the Spouse you have listed on Henry's memorial since this Caroline is buried with him.
Hope this helps!
