I am a niece of Lloyd "Pete" Herbert Hughes, who was a Medal of Honor Recipient. Researching his life has been an honor and a privilege. Here are his crew members of the "Ole Kickapoo."|
I adopted the Bodan Cemetery in Pollok, Angelina County, Texas, USA because of the many relatives of mine who are buried there. About 40% of those buried there are related to me.
You have my permission to use the grave marker photographs I have uploaded in any genealogy project. They are not one-of-a-kind photographs. You certainly do not, however, have my permission to use my photographs of family members in some money making scheme. Don't laugh, it has already been tried - and stopped.
The transcription of the grave marker on any memorial is important. Please add them. If you have a problem with adding transcriptions of the grave marker, please take it up with Find A Grave. They have a field for it, they, and I, ask that you fill it.
I registered on Find A Grave on 9 Jul 2001 when there were "only" 2.5 million memorials. For some reason, I didn't create my first memorial until 29 Jul 2001.

Yes, everything I ran across while doing those names had "Lula" or just D.E. Pierce on it.

I see the confusion that she thinks Huskey Grove Cemetery is in Rocky Grove. That's not the case, Huskey Grove Cemetery is the one in Gatlinburg. The one in Rocky Grove just says Huskey Cemetery. Hope that helps clear it up!

All of my photos were taken in Huskey Grove Cemetery. I have never been to the Huskey Cemetery. I have a photo of the Huskey Grove cemetery sign. I don't know how this got so mixed up. -Jan

The photo was taken at the Huskey Cemetery in Gatlinburg, it's located right off the Spur/441 and the only Huskey Cemetery I've ever visited. The other one in Rocky Grove has created many problems with the duplicates and there is a member trying to get them straightened out with Find A Grave directly, so I gave her a heads up about this one. As soon as I hear back from her, I'll let you know how they are going to handle it. I'm assuming those will be deleted even if created earlier. Thanks for contacting me, Teresa

Thank you for adding the new info to his memorial. His family lived in my hometown and he was the industrial art teacher when I was in high school I had an open period my sr yr and he talked me into taking woodwork, turns out I really liked it and it was a benefit when I became an adult. He was well respected and loved.

I am his granddaughter, and I would like to find burial information for his first wife, Evelyn (Edstrom)Brown. I would also be interested in finding an obituary for either Thomas or Evelyn.
|James Weeks||Hardy Family|
Hi, My name is Bobbie Jean Weeks. I am working on my husband's family history. His name is James Douglas Weeks and his 2nd great grandmother is Catherine Noga Persinger Hardy. His relatives are from East Texas.
Do you know how George Madison Persinger Hardy, b. 1818 d. 1909 fits in with James Persinger Hardy?

I've deleted my duplicate. Thank you for bringing this to my attention.
