It was great to find him -- it is a beautiful cemetery and some town history that I didn't know about.

Paul you are right about the 1831 on her Headstone. Instead of1881.

Hello Paul, I went to the Find A Grave memorial for Charles Turner and think it looks great. It is not always easy to find information of medals awarded (Navy Cross, Purple Hearts, etc.). So when I found this information -- had to have it added for the family and to document the service Charles had made for his country.
Charles is my 5th cousin. My father was Kirk Grinstead Fletcher (1917-1976) his mother Lola K Grinstead (1898-1977); her father Charles Meek Grinstead (1867-1953) was the youngest son of Benjamin Franklin Grinstead (1820-1983) and this line follows back to William Grinstead (1634-1667) and Elizabeth Key (1630-1724) as recorded in the book: The William Grinstead Family in America, published in 1974.
I have been working on an update to this book for about 1 1/2 years and am almost there.
Great to hear from you, and thanks again! Cathy Fletcher

Hello Paul, I had acquired several funeral pamphlets along with some obits from an elderly friend who was cleaning out "stuff" so have been adding their memorials and/or enhancing them with full dates from their pamphlets. Since I see you are family, I am transferring Linda to you instead of to the Society. Thanks for confirming and too, perhaps you know whether she can be linked to a spouse. Again, thank you!

Hello Paul - I would like to link Linda Lou Turner Piper (150469293)to her parents, HOWEVER, obituary names her father Charles I not Charles E. so, am uncertain if I have the right parents for whom I have created. Note - I am one I do not place full names nor places on those survivors whom may still be living so please get back to me and let me know if I have found the parents buried in Woodlawn. Thanks.

My pleasure. Let me know if you need another one in the Concord NC area. Judi

You are welcome. The section Lora is in is such a small section in comparison to the other sections in Crown Hill. I looked for her awhile back and could not find a stone. So I purchased a section map, then I could find her exact location based on other graves. Anyway...sorry she doesn't have a gravestone. Take care.

No problem! By the way, since the stone was very hard to read from the picture, I wrote down the information and put it as a comment on one of the pictures. Didn't want you to miss that!
